Exhibition Hall Park, Renqiu City, Hebei Province

Based on the characteristics of Renqiu’s shallow groundwater level and high soil salinity, Renqiu Urban Planning Exhibition Hall is combined with Baiyangdian culture to form “an urban exhibition hall in a wetland”. In the overall concept, the buildings are placed in the wetland through a “peninsula” design, and the outdoor space is utilized as an extension of the urban exhibition hall by using a landscape bridge with a span of about 18m across the water system.

The traffic flow of the project adopts the form of “one square and one ring road”. The arrangement of the vertical space of the site can be summarized as “a building on the terrace, a ring road under the terrace, undulating green spaces, and rich levels”. Upon entering the square space, visitors will see the entire magnificent building, including the terrace, as the site becomes open and is lower than the building.
