--Reading Room cum A/V Classroom Reopened After Decoration

“If there is a heaven, it must be like a library.” 

In order to share enterprise’s study resources and enrich employees’ cultural life, the reading room cum /A/V classroom in the headquarters of the company was reopened to all employees on May 4 after renovation and decoration. 

Situated at the north side of the cafeteria on the first floor of Building II, the reading room (Tel. 8833 6839) opens between 9:00 and 19:00 on weekdays under the management of the Human Resource Department of the company and has the functions as follows: 

1.Books and periodicals: Books on technology, management, culture and social science are offered to employees for reading and learning. One can log on the intranet and consult the online Reading Room block for the catalog of collected and updated books. 

2.Small-scale trainings: A/V facilities are equipped for holding small-scale trainings, and remote video service is provided for the training of nonlocal staff.

3.Electronic courseware: Computers are equipped to each seat in the reading area. Electronic courseware on enterprise university programs, registered professional qualification, professional and comprehensive quality and English capability trainings are available for learning.

4.Learning and reading exchanges: Reading Club and other activities will be held for sharing thoughts, exchanging experience, recommending books and improving the learning atmosphere. 

5.Original film appreciation: Nearly 100 Oscar films in original are prepared for employees’ appreciating the masterpieces and improving English ability. 

Free tea and snacks are offered for the readers to enjoy the leisure, reading and learning time. The participation of electronic programs here will be calculated into individual training hours to meet employee’s thirst for flexible study. 

In addition, the Book Recommendation block is launched on the intranet. Browsers may recommend books and share thoughts in the block under Company Portal of File Management.   

Elegant and warm environment, plentiful books and pervasive tea fragrance, the reading room will be a great study and exchange platform favored by all employees.
