Northern Section of Shaoxing Metro Line 1's Branch Line Begins Service

The northern section from Convention and Exhibition Center Station to Daqing Temple Station (exclusive) in the branch line of Shaoxing Metro Line 1 came into operation on June 30, marking the construction completion and full operation of the entire Shaoxing Metro Line 1 designed by UCD. After its opening, citizens of Shaoxing can take the subway directly to Shaoxing North Railway Station, conveniently transferring between subway and high-speed rail.

Shaoxing Metro Line 1 totals approximately 34.1 km long, with the trunk line being about 26.8 km in length and the branch line being about 7.3 km in length. The trunk line from Mingzhu Square Station to Fangquan Station became operational in 2022, while the southern section of the branch line running from Huangjiu Town Station to Daqing Temple Station officially commenced operation in 2024. The branch line's northern section including Convention and Exhibition Center Station and Shaoxing North Railway Station is approximately 3.2 km long. The direct subway connection to Shaoxing North Railway Station not only increases the passenger flow of the high-speed rail hub, but also brings new development opportunities to the areas along the line.
