10th Rail Transit Surveying Technology Exchange Conference Held in Shanghai
The 10th Rail Transit Surveying Technology Exchange Conference was held in Shanghai on May 23-24. The conference was hosted by the Rail Transit Branch of the China Civil Engineering Society (CCES) and Shanghai Shentong Metro Group Co., Ltd. and co-organized by Beijing Urban Construction Exploration & Surveying Design Research Institute Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of UCD, and SGIDI Engineering Consulting (Group) Co., Ltd.
Under the theme of "Meticulous surveying, intelligent warning, and safe operation--new quality productive forces empower rail transit surveying", the conference brought together professionals, scholars and elites from the rail transit surveying industry across the country, who jointly explored the latest research and practical achievements of new quality productive forces in the field of rail transit surveying, and envisioned the development prospects of the industry.
Attendees were more than 200 industry experts and scholars, representatives from construction entities, and industrial technicians, including Ma Haizhi, a National Engineering Survey and Design Master, vice president of the CCES Rail Transit Branch, and deputy general manager of UCD, National Engineering Survey and Design Masters Shen Xiaoke, Yang Xiuren, Gu Guorong, Xu Zhangjian, Xu Zailiang and Yang Bogang, Wang Xiuzhi, chief engineer of Shanghai Shentong Metro Group, Li Jiaping, general manager of Shanghai Metro Monitoring Management Co., Ltd., as well as Chen Lirong, honorary chair of SGIDI.
On behalf of the organizer, Ma Haizhi made a speech at the opening ceremony, saying that the Chinese rail transit sector saw high-quality development and delivered the "centimeter-level" or even the "millimeter-level" accuracy in surveying during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, when practitioners pushed precision in China to a new level with breakthroughs in innovation. At the important juncture of the approaching 15th Five-Year Plan period, strategic focus falls on intelligentization, digitalization, localization, and greenness and low carbon, and a technological revolution begins with new quality productive forces.
The conference was presided over by Wang Sikai, deputy secretary-general of the CCES Rail Transit Branch and head of Beijing Urban Construction Exploration & Surveying Design Research Institute.
A team led by Zheng Gang, a distinguished professor under Chang Jiang Scholars Program of the Ministry of Education and vice president of Tianjin University, was invited to deliver the keynote speech themed on "Geotechnical engineering deformation and overall safety performance control". There were seven keynote speeches and six special speeches regarding real 3D modeling and urban fine management, data mining and application of geotechnical engineering, impact of urban groundwater on infrastructure and existing buildings, among others. Attendees gathered together and offered suggestions for industry development.
During a rail transit roundtable, industry leaders like National Engineering Survey and Design Masters Shen Xiaoke, Yang Xiuren, Gu Guorong, Xu Zhangjian and Xu Zailiang had talks about hot topics, technical difficulties, industry development tendency, talent cultivation and so forth in the rail transit sector, and provided professional suggestions on future development.
"New quality productive forces empower rail transit surveying" was a key issue of the conference, which contributes to the industry exchange and cooperation, technological innovation and application, advancements in rail transit surveying technology, and safe, efficient and sustainable development of the rail transit sector. It's believed that under the concerted efforts of all practitioners, China's rail transit surveying technology will move to new levels, giving solid technical support for the transformation of the country into a transportation powerhouse.
