UCD Party Chief Lectures on Party Discipline Learning and Education

On June 5, Pei Hongwei, deputy Party chief and general manager of BUCG and Party chief and chairman of UCD, lectured on the topic of studying the Regulations, holding discipline in awe and respect and observing Party discipline at UCD's training session on improving the quality and ability of cadres, in order to push forward Party discipline learning and education and further study the newly revised Regulations on CPC Disciplinary Action (the "Regulations").

Offline attendees include members of UCD's leadership, secretary of the board of directors, general counsel, director of security, deputy chief economist, deputy chief accountant, vice chairperson of the labor union, and leadership members of secondary units, while online attendees are all Party members.

Pei pointed out that the Regulations are an important outcome of the Party's efforts to tighten discipline, improve Party conduct and adhere to theoretical, practical and institutional innovation, which releases a strong signal of increasingly strict supervision and discipline enforcement, and fully demonstrates the Party's firm determination and strong will to push forward self-revolution. It is necessary to deeply recognize the significance of the revision of the Regulations, effectively internalize the discipline and rules into the daily habits and conscious awareness of Party members, and constantly deepen Party discipline learning and education. Pei interpreted the "six disciplines" with corporate cases and stressed that the newly revised Regulations further highlighted political discipline and political rules, improved the rules for the use of disciplinary actions, strengthened the connection between discipline and law, added the violations of discipline, detailed the disciplinary provisions, and put strict requirements in place. On the basis of summarized practical experience, the Regulations improved discipline and brought it up-to-date, which is conducive to giving full play to the role of discipline that addresses both the symptoms and root causes, and promoting the full and rigorous Party self-governance.

In order to further advance Party discipline learning and education and effectively implement the Regulations, Pei required that organizational leadership should be continually strengthened. Efforts should be made to strictly follow the List of Tasks Regarding Party Discipline Learning and Education issued by the Party committee of UCD, act with the "8 ones" in Party discipline study, and keep Party discipline in mind through deep learning, thorough understanding and practice. He required the improvement in the quality of learning. In combination with reality, Party discipline should be thoroughly studied and kept in mind. Party discipline learning and education should be integrated into daily work and regular operations. Individual self-study should be combined with massed study. It is imperative to strictly implement the central group learning and the system of Three Meetings and One Lecture, and normalize Party discipline education. Additionally, practical results should be achieved in the integration of learning and application. Learning and education should be combined with ongoing rectification and rectifications after inspections. Party discipline learning and education and central work should be advanced together. The quality and efficiency of the company should be improved with new achievements of learning and education. The main tone of strictness should be adhered to for precise discipline enforcement. Discipline should be put in the first place. Everyone is equal in front of discipline and there are no exceptions. Efforts should be made to effectively maintain the rigidity and seriousness of discipline, and provide a strong disciplinary guarantee for the high-quality development of the company with strictness in tone, measures and atmosphere.
