CCTV Reports “Good House”, an Exemplary Project of BRDR

Recently, "good houses" became a hot topic at the third session of the 14th NPC and the third session of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC. Longfor Inner Land, a project embodying the design scheme of Beijing Institute of Residential Building Design & Research (BRDR), a UCD company, that won the Beijing leg of the China "Good House" Design Competition, was reported by CCTV in the Two Sessions 1+1 program.

The project was implemented under the support of the China "Good House" Design Competition and policies about overhead floors (an area of 1,000 sq.m., not included for the calculation of the plot ratio), rain and wind corridors (not included for the calculation of the plot ratio) and balconies (suitable for climate characteristics in Beijing), creating a shared space for indoor and outdoor interaction without reduction in the floor area of houses, said Qian Jiahong, chief architect of UCD, and general manager and chief architect of BRDR, in an interview.
