Branch Line (Huangjiu Town Station-Daqingsi Station) of Shaoxing Metro Line 1 Open to Traffic

On April 1st, the branch line (Huangjiu Town Station-Daqingsi Station) of Shaoxing Metro Line 1, with its overall design undertaken by UCD, was open to traffic. Opening of the branch line has further enhanced the urban integrated public transport system, marking a new step forward taken by Shaoxing Metro in operating from “transfer” to “networking”.

The branch line extends 7.3 kilometers, with 6 stations set up. Difficulties such as toughness in construction and tight schedule had been overcome since the project was started in order to go all out to propel the project construction. The branch line of Line 1 opened this time starts at Huangjiu Town Station and ends at Daqingsi Station, with its total length reaching approximate 4.1 kilometers and stations all being underground. The branch line transfers to the main line at Huangjiu Town Station.

With the gradual opening of the branch line of Line 1, the capacity of Shaoxing’s rail transit will further strengthen to make travel more convenient and efficient, which will forcefully facilitate the organic integration of urban development and push forward the deeper development of Shaoxing integrating into Hangzhou.
