Joining Up of All Tracks for Bishan-Tongliang Line of Chongqing Rail Transit
On March 31, with the last set of tracks of the right line of Yunwushan Tunnel having been hoisted in place, UCD completed the laying of all rail tracks for Bishan-Tongliang Line of the Chongqing rail transit, realizing the “joining up of all tracks” of the project. It has laid a solid foundation for the subsequent “circuit-clear”, “traffic operation” and “alignment joint-test”, and has created conditions for the line to be open to traffic at the end of the year.
The main track of the Bishan-Tongliang Line is as long as 37.364 kilometers. As the east-west urban railway of the metropolitan area in the main city of Chongqing, the line is also an integration demonstration line for Chongqing’s high-speed railway, urban railway and subway. In the design stage, to meet the requirements for different topographic features and the track structure in various forms, structural forms such as double ballast bed, single ballast bed and ballast bed with base plate had been adopted to further improve the overall stability of structure and ballast construction quality. In the construction stage, technologies such as CPⅢ accurate measurement used in the construction of high-speed railway ballastless track had been adopted on the whole line to precisely test and accurately regulate the rail elevation, direction, level and gauge of the track, thus effectively ensuring the comfort and stability of the later train operation.
Pertinent to such features as tight schedule and heavy tasks for laying tacks, equipment and manpower efforts were mounted up and resource allocation and on-site coordination were strengthened on the whole line. Four track-laying bases and two track-spreading bases went on opposite flow construction from both Bishan and Tongliang to effectively propel the track-laying engineering construction, laying a good foundation for the subsequent mechanical and electrical construction and comprehensive alignment joint-test.
