Open Day for Subway Station Firefighting Propaganda Launched for Kunming Metro Line 4

In order to further improve citizens’ firefighting awareness, popularize subway firefighting knowledge, and create a strong atmosphere in which everyone attaches importance to, cares about and participates in firefighting, on the afternoon of Nov. 8th, Yunnan Jingjian Rail Transit Investment and Construction Co., Ltd. joined hands with the rail transit brigade of Kunming Firefighting and Rescue Detachment to have launched the 2021 Firefighting Propaganda Month and Open Day for Subway Station Firefighting Propaganda with the theme of “Implementing Firefighting Responsibilities and Guarding Against Safety Risks” at the North Railway Station of Kunming Metro Line 4. The rail transit brigade of Kunming Firefighting and Rescue Detachment, leaders of Yunnan Jingjian Rail Transit Investment and Construction Co., Ltd., rail public security officers and security inspection workers, Shuguang Primary School students, community staffs and subway staff representatives took part in the event, making efforts together for the good wish of “Consolidating the Firewall and Creating Safe Homes”.

Since the opening of Kunming Metro Line 4, under the correct leadership of the Kunming Transportation Bureau, Rail Transit Public Security Sub-bureau, and Rail Transit Fire Brigade, Yunnan Jingjian Rail Transit Investment and Construction Co., Ltd. has paid close attention to the fulfillment of primary responsibilities, conscientiously strengthened the leadership over firefighting work, and brought to effect the responsibilities of firefighting work at all levels, actively conducted firefighting safety propaganda, education and learning activities, established and improved the emergency and rescue mechanism, set up its firefighting emergency and rescue team, held firefighting skills contests, conducted fire drills for over 300 times, joined hands with the rail transit brigade of Kunming Firefighting and Rescue Detachment to have rolled out the first “Yunling Firefighting No.119” firefighting theme train, and launched a series of activities such as “Bringing firefighting volunteer service into the community” and “Providing schools with firefighting safety propaganda and lectures”, thus further improving its employees’ firefighting emergency handling capabilities, cementing their fire prevention and control competence and ensuring the safe operation of Kunming Metro Line 4.

At the event, rail firefighting staffs and subway employee representatives showed how to use the firefighting equipment and wear air respirators, which attracted many passengers to observe and learn. Passengers said one after another that the event not only enabled them to further master the fire safety knowledge but also felt that fire safety is around.

Afterwards, the participants on site jointly took the fire safety oath. Everyone was impassioned, made a fire safety pledge, and signed one by one on the fire propaganda pledge wall, vowing to be a disseminator of safety knowledge, a fire safety defender and a builder of a safe Kunming.

“Let the common firefighting knowledge enter all homes, and let us live in peace and safety.” Finally, a prize-winning quiz activity on fire safety knowledge was conducted on the spot. The community working staff and the student representatives of Shuguang Primary School raced to be the first to answer the questions, creating a strong fire safety propaganda atmosphere and reaching the purpose of “everyone attaches importance to fire safety and everyone knows about fire safety knowledge”.
