UCD Held the Conference on the Celebration for the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC and July 1st Commendation

The hundred-year journey has made remarkable achievements, and the hundred-year original aspiration grew even stronger. On June 29th, the Party committee of UCD held the Conference on the Celebration for the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC and July 1st Commendation to award a group of outstanding grassroots Party organizations, excellent Party members and Party workers, and encourage all Party organizations and Party members to strive for excellence and work hard to write a new chapter of UCD’S development for the “14th Five-Year Plan”.

The leadership team members, board secretary, deputy general legal counsel, deputy chief economic engineer, deputy chief accountant, heads of all departments of UCD, secretaries of all directly affiliated Party organizations, and commended outstanding collective and individual representatives attended the conference.

On the conference, Wang Hanjun, deputy secretary of UCD’s Party committee and general manager, declared the “Circular on Commending Outstanding Grassroots Party Organizations, Excellent Party Members and Party Workers”, and commended 8 outstanding grassroots Party organizations, 46 excellent Party members and 5 excellent Party workers by the circular.

The commended outstanding grassroots Party organizations, excellent Party members and Party workers gave speeches on the conference, and their words full of original aspiration and ambition won bursts of applause of the audience.

Chen Dayong, secretary of the Surveying Party Branch of the Survey Institute, gave a speech as a representative of excellent grassroots Party branches. The Surveying Party Branch insisted on the focus of the Party’s political construction, and took multiple measures to promote Party member education and Party branch construction. The Party members highlighted excellent exemplary role, and many outstanding Party members with great achievements emerged, which gave full play to the role of the Party Branch as a fortress for preventing and controlling the epidemic and serving the society.

Hua Fucai, director of the Institute of Technology and deputy secretary of the Party Branch, gave a speech as a representative of excellent Communist Party members. As a Party member for 25 years, he always held firm ideals and convictions, kept studying political theory, gave full play to guiding and exemplary role, led his team to focus on technological breakthrough, accelerated the incubation of scientific and technological achievements, and took measures on both production and scientific research, pursued stable and progressing market expansion, and fulfilled the original aspiration and mission of a Communist Party member with outstanding achievements.

Li Bin, general manager of the Southwest Institute, secretary of the Party Branch and director of Chongqing Branch, gave a speech as a representative of excellent party workers. He led the Chongqing Branch to adhere to the leadership of Party construction, steadily promote the construction of grassroots Party organizations, and won the honorary title of “Excellent Grassroots Party Organization” in the local neighborhood for successive years. They deeply integrated Party construction with business, won the bidding of big orders at RMB1 billion, and creatively obtained overall network projects, which added momentum for Party construction and effectively promoted high-quality development of UCD.

Li Guoqing, secretary of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of UCD, on behalf of UCD’s Party committee, congratulated the commended outstanding collectives and individuals, and extended holiday greetings and high respect to the grassroots Party organizations and Party members who are still striving on the front line of management and production! He stated that, the Communist Party of China led Chinese people through a glorious 100-year journey and created remarkable achievements which attracted worldwide attention. The 100-year Party history eloquently proved that without the Communist Party of China, there would be no New China, no prosperity and strength of the Chinese nation. Under the correct leadership of the CPC, UCD achieved rapid development and completed the solid progress of “strength of enterprise and happiness of employees”.

Li Guoqing pointed out that, we must learn from senior and outstanding Party members, inherit and carry forward good traditions of the older generation, maintain the spirit, temper strong political character, and make active contributions to the promotion of UCD’s high-quality development; we must take the Party’s political construction as our guide, integrate the political requirements “to stress political awareness” into all work of the enterprise with a clear-cut stand, and continuously enhance the political, ideological, theoretical, and emotional identification of the CPC and socialism with Chinese characteristics; we must unify our thoughts and actions in line with the decisions and deployments of the Party organizations, to ensure that the policies and major decisions and deployments of the Party and the state can be implemented in the enterprise.

Li Guoqing emphasized that, we must adhere to making a strong and solid foundation for Party construction, continuously strengthen the standardization and normalization of grassroots Party organizations, give play to the advanced role of Party members, and lead the high-quality development of enterprises with high-quality Party construction; we must firmly promote in-depth and practical Party history learning and education, adhere to “mutual promotion” of study and work, and constantly combine Party history learning and education with the task of promoting the enterprise’s reform and development, with the problem-solving and practical work for serving people, and with the vigorous ambition and entrepreneurial spirit, and promote the Party history learning and education to develop in breadth and depth.

Li Guoqing called on UCD’s cadres and employees to follow the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, closely focus on UCD’s “14th Five-Year” strategic development plan, strengthen confidence, inspire morale, seize opportunities, and take the initiative to make greater contributions for UCD to realize the strategic goal of a design-oriented comprehensive urban construction service provider.

Mi Jianzhou, deputy secretary of the Party committee and chairman of the labor union of UCD, presided over the conference. She demanded that every UCD member should learn from these outstanding models and follow the examples, and bravely show the identity, take the initiative and set an example in the face of urgent, difficult and risky tasks; we must strengthen our own skills, and bravely explore and innovate, show new sense of responsibility and new efforts in a new era, and strive to write a new chapter for UCD’s “14th Five-Year Plan” development.

After the commendation conference, the participants came to the Xinhua 1949 Cultural and Financial Innovation Industrial Park to visit the exhibition on the theme of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, learned the detailed 100-year history of Marxism in China, and absorbed the power for striding forward on the new journey of the “14th Five-Year Plan” from the 100-year revolutionary history of the CPC.
