On May 28, 2021, with the completion of the last cubic of concrete pouring, the main structure of the Lize FBD Station, 05 bidding project of Beijing Metro Line 14, contracted by Beijing Urban Rail Transit Construction Engineering Co., Ltd, was capped. The planned construction task was completed 2 days in advance. The smooth capping of Lize FBD Station has laid a solid foundation for the full operation of Line 14 by the end of this year. 

 

 

 

Lize FBD Station is located in the planned core area of Lize FBD, with a total construction area of 25092.22 square meters. It functions as the cross interchange station between Metro Line 14 and Metro Line 16, and is adjacent to a number of business centers and mansions. It is an important transportation hub in the Lize FBD. As the first Metro line opened in Lize FBD, people there can transfer to Line 16 after the operation of Line 14, marking opening up of the "traffic artery" for Lize FBD. It is said that in the future, the airport line will be extended towards the North, and Lijin line and Line 11 will be introduced into Line 14, after the opening of which the "Transfer across the five Metro lines" can be realized.

 

In February 2020, under the premise of full efforts to prevent and control the epidemic, Lize FBD Station officially resumed construction. However, shortly after the resumption of work, a cultural relic site was found in the process of earthwork excavation, leading to the suspension of construction. Construction of the station resumed again in January 2021 after nearly a year of exploration work. In order to catch up with other lines to realize the aim of "Transfer across the five Metro lines", in February 2021, the project department comprehensively carried out the labor competition of "Starting an upsurge of working and ensuring the capping of Lize FBD Station," which aroused enthusiasm of the participating teams and personnel and inspired a surge of hard and fast work. With the great attention of the municipal and district governments and the strong support of the two-level group companies, UCD and the project team pushed forward in a concerted efforts to complete the construction task. On March 30th, the earthwork excavation of the station was finished; on April 30th, the tunnel was dug through; on May 10th, the lifting of the Y-shaped steel structure column was completed...The seemingly impossible project aims have been achieved one by one. In the end, all the participating teams and personnel worked hard for 90 days to cap the main structure of Lize FBD Station in advance. 

 

Next, the project will enter the follow-up construction stage, including decoration, mechanical and electrical installation, track-laying. The project team will continue to work hard, stride forward and start again in high spirit. With the perseverance like the Chinese army, the team will launch high-quality projects, build an excellent reputation and act as an satisfying example for all walks of life.
