Sixth Editorial Board Meeting for Urban Rapid Rail Transit Held in Beijing

On April 28, the sixth editorial board meeting of Urban Rapid Rail Transit was held at Beijing Jiaotong University. Wang Jiaqiong, President of Beijing Jiaotong University, Chen Feng, Director of the Editorial Board, Wang Hanjun, UCD’s General Manager and Executive Deputy Director of the Editorial Board, Zhong Jianhua, Executive Deputy Director of the Expert Academic Committee of China Association of Metros and Deputy Director of the Editorial Board, Editorial Board Executive Deputy Editor-in-Chief Yu Songwei, Secretary-General of Expert Academic Committee of China Association of Metros and head of the periodical office Han Baoming, Executive Deputy Editor-in-Chief Zheng Xiaowei, and deputy editors-in-chief for Chinese and English periodicals, standing members of the editorial board, members of the editorial board, special experts, reviewers, rail transit journal alliance members, and staffs of the periodical office totaling more than 50 people, participated in the meeting either online or offline. The executive deputy editors of the editorial board Yu Songwei and Zheng Xiaowei presided over the meeting successively.

In his speech, General Manager Wang Hanjun said that the journal of Urban Rapid Rail Transit in Chinese and English were both shortlisted in the High Quality Journal Catalogue in the Railway Transport Field, which has become an important carrier for the dissemination of innovative achievements in the urban rail industry, an important bridge for academic exchanges, and an important position for urban rail culture construction. As the co-sponsor of the journal, UCD will continue to support the development of Urban Rapid Rail Transit, and at the same time, as the executive deputy director of the editorial board, he will gather UCD's high-quality academic resources and practical experience to further expand the magazine's influence in the industry.

Zhang Wei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Technology Research Institute, as a representative of UCD's subject leader, introduced the active role played by Urban Rapid Rail Transit in propagandizing and popularizing UCD’s technical research achievements such as cloud platform-based automation system, urban rail assembly station, smart station, etc., as well as UCD’s industrialization of the achievements.

Finally, Chen Feng made a concluding speech at the meeting, extending thanks to the editors and experts for their suggestions on the development of the journal, and pointed out the development goals and directions of the Urban Rapid Rail Transit in both Chinese and English. He said that the journal will respond to the call of the country to build the journal into a first-class scientific one, to improve the academic influence of the journal and its international influence, and to promote the integrated development of the journal.
