UCD's "Cloud Platform-based Tram Intelligent Control System" Wins Second Prize of China Association of Metros’ Science and Technology Progress Award
Recently, China Association of Metros issued 2020 Urban Rail Transit Science and Technology Progress Award. UCD's "Cloud Platform-based Tram Intelligent Control System" stood out from 116 declared projects and won the second prize.
The system adopts an innovative fusion architecture to solve many drawbacks of the old construction plan, such as equipment purchase duplication, multiple system interfaces, difficulty in horizontal data sharing, low linkage efficiency, etc., and evident improvements have been made in terms of multi-disciplinary integration, construction cost control, data processing efficiency, etc.
The system has been successfully applied to the Qinghai Delingha Tram Demonstration Line Project. During the construction period, it can reduce construction costs and shorten the construction period; during the operation period, it can achieve equipment energy-saving control, optimize operation plans, and reduce operating costs. The program realizes massive data processing and multi-system collaborative control by building a digital information sharing platform, and achieves the goals of system safety, efficiency, reliability, punctuality, comfort, low carbon, and humanity.
China is vigorously advancing the "Internet + Urban Rail Transit" strategy. Information technology represented by cloud computing and big data is covering the construction, operation, management, safety, and service of urban rail transit across the country. "The intelligent control system for trams based on the cloud platform" is another honor won after the "cloud transportation automation system" got the first prize of the China Association of Metros’ Scientific and Technological Progress Award. It is UCD's compliance with the industry trend and its crystallization of wisdom to stepping up the intelligence of urban rail transit to a new height. In the future, UCD will continue to dig deeper into the field of smart rail transit, continuously enhance its R&D and innovation capabilities, and provide customers with more high-quality products and services.
