“Environmentally Friendly Technologies for Rail Transit Stations”, A National Key Research and Development Project of the “13th Five-Year Plan” Undertaken by UCD, Successfully Passed the Performance Evaluation
Between March 24th and 25th, a performance evaluation conference on the “Environmentally Friendly Technologies for Rail Transit Stations”, a key project of the National Key Research and Development Program “Advanced Rail Transit” undertaken by UCD National Engineering Laboratory for Urban Rail Transit Green and Safe Construction Technology, was held in Qingdao. This project is the first national key research and development project mainly undertaken by UCD after the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan". Totally 8 organizations participated in the project and UCD as the leading unit was responsible for 3 research tasks. Yang Xiuren, project director and chief engineer of UCD, together with task leaders of the research team, attended the conference and made reports. Chiefs of other participating units including Beijing Jiaotong University, North China University of Technology, Beihang University, Central South University, Beijing Metro Operation Co., Ltd., Changchun Metro Operation Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou Metro Design Institute also attended the conference.
Focused on solving problems in monitoring noise, electromagnetic and gas environment during design evaluation, construction, and operation of environmentally friendly stations in China’s urban rail transit, the subject studied environmentally friendly design evaluation methods for rail transit stations, construction technologies for environmentally friendly stations, and monitoring techniques for station noise environment and electromagnetic environment, and integrated monitoring techniques for station environmental quality, and implemented engineering demonstration application. It realized key technologies for the design and construction of prefabricated metro stations centered on the structure, waterproofing, component production, construction equipment and construction skills for prefabricated stations; it established a design and evaluation system for environment-friendly urban rail transit stations based on low-noise control technology integrating multiple methods, and spatial analysis and identification technology via multi-source electromagnetic radiation coupling, and comprehensive monitoring and early warning technology of gas environment, and achieved engineering demonstration application in Changchun, Qingdao, Shenzhen, and Beijing. The subject created 7 system equipment, published 57 papers, applied for 26 invention patents, including 12 authorized invention patents, completed 9 technical standards and registered 14 software copyrights.
The expert team heard the overall report of the project team, and agreed that the undertaking units of the project were well managed and organized, and the project overfulfilled the research plan and evaluation indicators with vital innovative achievements and broad application prospects. The expert team unanimously approved and evaluated it as excellent and gave high remarks. Also, they suggested speeding up the application and transformation of technological results, enhancing the green construction capacity of rail transit, continuously improving passengers’ travel experience, integrating stations into the urban environment, continuously enhancing the attractiveness of the rail transit system and promoting the development of urban rail transit in a green and healthy way.
