The Constructers of Beijing Urban Rail Transit Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. Celebrated the Spring Festival in This Way!

As the Spring Festival was coming, people were all eager to go home for reunion. However, a group of respectable people gave up the opportunity to reunite with their families but stayed at their posts without complaint. They turned their nostalgias into driving force in work, and fought persistently to seize the schedule, contributing the company’s strength to the construction of rail transit!

    

In order to ensure that the supporting projects for the Winter Olympics can be put into service on schedule, more than 80 constructers of the 03# bid project of the west section of Beijing Metro Line 11 are making all efforts to finish the construction tasks of the 1# and 2# ventilating pavilions of Shougang Station. As the Spring Festival was coming, the project leader and the workers still staying at the posts pasted Spring Festival couplets and hung lanterns. During the festival, the project department organized riddle games on safety production and epidemic prevention knowledge, so that the workers can also enjoy the happiness of the festival.

As an underground transportation artery connecting Lize FBD, the 05# bid project of Metro Line 14 bears great construction responsibilities and glorious missions. In order to ensure that it can be put into service as scheduled at the end of this year, the project department has over 130 managers and workers staying at their posts during the Spring Festival to make all efforts for the construction of shotcrete rockbolt, earthwork, waterproofing and main structure of Lize FBD Station. During the festival, the project department made scientific overall planning and elaborate arrangement to achieve orderly construction with the celebration for the New Year, and laid a solid foundation for the subsequent construction.

They pasted Spring Festival couplets, chatted about family life, and inspired their enthusiasm... Receiving the greeting from the leaders of the municipal government and the group, the constructers staying at their posts of the 07# bid project of Metro Line 12 aroused more confidence and energy! During the festival, more than 100 managers and workers of the project department made all efforts to promote the construction of the initial arch cover, the top longitudinal girder, and the crown girder. The red lanterns are hung, and the workers are filled with joy. This colorful fighting Spring Festival will surely leave happy memories to the constructers!

Sauced beef, preserved eggs, Dongpo pig knuckle and spicy chicken... On New Year’s Eve, special local delicacies from various regions provided 33 workers in the 09# bid project department of New Airport Line with “the taste at home”. In order to make up for their regret of not going back home, the leaders of the project department prepared a generous New Year’s Eve dinner and party. They sat together with the workers, watching the Spring Festival Gala and making dumplings, waiting for the bell of the New Year with joy and fun. The workers said that “although we can’t go home, we will definitely have an extraordinary time in the Year of the Ox struggling day and night with our colleagues!”

Those who stayed in Beijing for the Spring Festival enjoyed the same happiness as at home. In order that they can have a good time for the Chinese New Year, the 22# bid project department of Beijing Metro Line 16 organized a special Spring Festival for 37 workers staying in Beijing after the construction tasks were successfully completed. Spring Festival couplets, characters of Fu and lanterns decorated the project department in a festive atmosphere. In order that all of them can enjoy a generous dinner at the New Year’s Eve, the chef prepared the menu and the TV set in the canteen very early to ensure that everyone can watch the Spring Festival Gala and have the New Year’s Eve dinner. The project department also invited supervisors to participate in table tennis and card games, so that they can enjoy the warm reunion in the great “home” of the project department.

In order to ensure that Wansheng South Street, the main road connecting Universal Studios, can be put into service successfully by the end of April, the managers and subcontractors of Gaoloujin Station integration and road project stay at their posts in Beijing to celebrate the New Year, and the workers of the Central Green Project staying in Beijing celebrated the Spring Festival together with the project department of the Metro Line 7 East Extension Project. The project department prepared Spring Festival gifts for the workers staying at their posts during the Spring Festival. They dispatched gifts and foods to the subcontractors, and sent sincere blessings for the New Year, so that everyone could feel the caring and warmth of the company. On the New Year Eve, the project department organized “Dumpling Making for a Happy Chinese New Year”. The canteen was decorated with ox-pattern red lanterns, hollowed-out characters of Fu and colorful balloons, setting off an atmosphere of happy and auspiciousness festival.

The glory of the past was as splendid as the dazzling sun; the unity of today is as powerful as the clenched fist. The project department of the 19# bid project of Beijing Metro Line 17 wishes all families a Happy New Year! In response to the initiative of “not traveling home in unnecessary case”, all 20 managers gave up the reunion with their families and stayed at their posts for the project to made full preparations for the resumption of construction after the festival. The project leaders organized the logistics in advance, so that everyone could feel the warmth of home during the Chinese New Year even in Beijing. The project department was filled with happiness.

The New Year Festival is coming after Laba (the eighth day of the 12th lunar month)! For Guangzhou Metro Line 10 with the goal successfully completed ahead of schedule, the pace of the Year of the Ox seems to come faster. On the eve of the twenty-third day of the 12th lunar month, nearly 200 workers staying in the project cleaned up and pasted Spring Festival couplets in accordance with local customs. Decorated with orange trees and tricolor chrysanthemums implying “good fortune” at the door, the project site was full of a strong festive atmosphere. It undoubtedly greatly enriched and comforted the mind of the metro constructers who cannot go home for the New Year Festival. On New Year’s Eve, the project department and the staff canteens of all construction areas prepared generous New Year’s Eve dinners, so that the constructers staying at their posts away from home can also celebrate the Chinese New Year Festival like at home! The construction tasks of Guangzhou Metro Line 10 in 2021 are very hard. Some constructers of the project department and three construction areas stayed at the scene during the Spring Festival, and made full preparation with confidence for the resumption of construction after the festival! The labor union of the group sent milk, instant noodles, salt-baked eggs and other Spring Festival gifts to all the project constructers in advance. Receiving the warmth and caring of the group, the constructers were inspired and encouraged. They will devote themselves to the follow-up construction in more energetic spirit, and ensure timely and high-quality performance of the contract to return the trust of the group.

They were “not on holiday” during the Spring Festival, but stayed at the front line. 45 managers and 700 workers of the 12# bid project department of Shaoxing Metro Line 1 gave up the Spring Festival holiday, but kept a close eye on the task goals. They cooperated with each other to celebrate a special Spring Festival together! During the festival, in order to make the staying workers at ease, the company's labor union prepared Spring Festival gifts and foods for them. Shaoxing Jingyue Metro Co., Ltd. sent fresh pork to the project department, and the project site was decorated with couplets on doors, paper-cuts on windows, and hung-up red lanterns to create a festive and peaceful atmosphere for the New Year. On New Year’s Eve, the project department organized New Year’s Eve dinner, dumpling making, and watching the Spring Festival Gala. They also prepared free New Year’s meals for the workers on New Year’s Eve and the first day of the New Year to make everyone feel the warmth of home on the project site.

During the Spring Festival, the triaxial reinforcement on the site of the 02# bid project department of Shaoxing Metro Line 2 was still under construction. 15 managers and 15 constructers stayed at the front line without any complaint. In order to create a strong atmosphere of the New Year for those who stayed on the site, the project department merged the worker’s canteen and the staff canteen, and organized all of them to decorate the canteen and make dumplings together. On New Year's Eve, the staff canteen prepared snack foods for all the staying staff to watch the New Year Eve Gala together. In order to set off the festive atmosphere, the project department specially added a question-and-answer game on epidemic prevention to enhance everyone’s knowledge about the epidemic. It improved their self-prevention awareness, and at the same time made them feel the warmth and happiness of “home” even away from their home during the New Year Festival. 

The Urumqi project department arranged professional chefs to stay on the site to ensure that 10 staying personnel can have a generous New Year’s Eve dinner, enjoying a peaceful and happy Spring Festival. The project department also organized pasting couplets, making dumplings, and games for them to set off a festive atmosphere. At the same time, it also implemented policies of visiting relatives, follow-up vacations and compensated leaves for the staying personnel, so that they can have a good time during the festival on the project site.

All the persistence is for better reunion. In the Spring Festival of the Year of the Ox on the background of epidemic prevention and control, all the project departments of the company inside and outside Beijing followed the initiative of “stay put during Spring Festival”.
