The mobilization meeting for the integrated project of Lize Urban Terminal and the Northward Extended New Airport Line was successfully completed

“I declare that the construction of the integrated project of Lize Urban Terminal and the Northward Extended New Airport Line starts now!” At 11:06 am on December 18, Vice Mayor Sui Zhenjiang attended the mobilization meeting for the integrated project of Lize Urban Terminal and the Northward Extended New Airport Line. He declared the start of the project and delivered a speech. More than two hundred representatives from more than ten units including Beijing Municipal Government and Fengtai District Government, Office of Major Construction Project, National Development and Reform Commission, Commission of Planning and Natural Resources, Finance Bureau, Housing and Urban Rural Development Commission, Commission of Transport, Management Committee of Lize Financial Business District, Metro Land Corporation Ltd., Beijing Lize Holdings Ltd., Capital Airport Real Estate Group Co., Ltd., Lize Urban Terminal Investment Co., Ltd., and Metro Construction Management Co., Ltd. attended the meeting.

The planning scope of Lize Urban Terminal Complex Project extends from the planned third Road Junan Road in the north to the planned Lize Road in the South, and from the planned Lianhuahe West Road in the east to the planned Lize Zhong’er Road in the west, covering the construction area of 4.34 hectares, with ground area of about 270,000 square meters and building area of 46,100 square meters for the functional part of the urban terminal in the project (including the ground and underground area). After Lize Urban Terminal is built, passenger check-in, luggage check-in and some other procedures can be completed in the Lize Financial Business District. It will take only 20 minutes to arrive at Daxing Airport with no luggage. It will meet people’s need of “safe, convenient and comfortable” travel, and greatly decrease the time cost of flying from Fengtai to everywhere in China and the whole world. It will become a new engine for Lize Financial Business District to build an international financial center, and also open a new window for Fengtai to go global.

The project of the Northward Extended New Airport Line undertaken by the Rail Construction Company of Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Ltd. includes one station and one section. The line extends northward from Caoqiao Station, the terminal of the former Phase-I Project, to Lize Financial Business District, with a total length of 3.5km. It has one station at Lize Financial Business District, where it intersects with Lize Urban Terminal Complex project. By one additional northward extended station, the new airport line will better cover the key functional areas including Z-Park, Sanlihe Administrative District, Shougang Group, CBD, and Fengtai.

At the mobilization meeting, Pei Hongwei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of Beijing Urban Construction Group, delivered a speech on behalf of the construction unit. He said that, the construction task of the integrated project of Lize Urban Terminal and the Northward Extended New Airport Line is a great responsibility and a glorious mission. The Group will take the advantages of the whole industrial chain, strictly fulfill the major responsibility of construction, sincerely cooperate with all parties and promote the construction efficiently, follow the standard of building the best national strategic projects, make all efforts to build a top-quality, model, safe and clean integrated project, to satisfy the owners, the government and all circles of society!

Wei Yi, deputy general manager of Metro Land Corporation Ltd., delivered a speech on behalf of the construction unit. She pointed out that, with the strong supports of the municipal party committee and municipal government, relevant municipal departments and district party committee and district government, Beijing Lize Urban Terminal Investment and Development Co., Ltd., as the tenderee, has selected a design agency to participate in the project planning and design, and the Northward Extended New Airport Line project has completed all the procedures and the team is ready to enter the construction site. Later, Beijing Lize Urban Terminal Investment and Development Co., Ltd. and Metro Land Corporation Ltd. will thoroughly fulfill and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech delivered at the commissioning ceremony of Beijing Daxing International Airport, strive for the goal of implementing the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy and improving the service level of Beijing as an international exchange center, strengthen management, make overall plans to proceed the project to satisfy the municipal party committee and government and all the citizens.

At last, Sui Zhenjiang, deputy mayor of Beijing City, delivered a speech. He emphasized that the start of the integrated project of Lize Urban Terminal and the Northward Extended New Airport Line is a magnificent event in the history of the planning and construction of Beijing Lize Financial Business District and a great event of Fengtai to promote high-quality development to a new level. It is also an important action to promote Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development and to implement the capital's strategy of north-south balance. The Northward Extended New Airport Line project will further extend the new airport line northward to Lize Financial Business District, and further promote high-quality element resources to gather in Lize, so as to guide the development of Fengtai and even the southern area of Beijing; Lize Urban Terminal will become a convenient, open, integrated, diversified and green "urban hall" for the core area of Lize. Through direct connection by rail with Daxing International Airport, Beijing West Railway Station, Beijing South Railway Station, and Fengtai Railway Station, it will greatly enhance the external radiation of Lize Financial Business District, and effectively promote Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated integration so as to help improve the service level of Beijing as an international exchange center. We hope that all parties involved in the construction will uphold the concept of "safety, green, wisdom, and humanity", rely on the methods of technological innovation, focus on the people's demand for "safe, convenient and comfortable" transportation, and actively build a model of "integrated station and city" and a new window showing the world the image of Beijing.
