The Operation Summary and Commendation Conference for Kunming Metro Line 4 Was Held in Kunming 

After four years of hard work, Kunming Metro Line 4 was put into operation on September 23, after which, the leaders of Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Limited have been very concerned about the project operation and management. On November 12, Pei Hongwei, general manager of Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Limited and chairman of UCD, went to Kunming Metro Line 4 for investigation, attended the operation summary and commendation conference at the initial operation stage of the project, and gave a guiding speech on further operation and management. 

On the morning of that day, accompanied by Wang Hanjun, general manager of UCD, and Li Guoqing, secretary of the Party committee, Pei Hongwei went to Kunming Metro Line 4 for investigation, watched the theme exhibition of the opening of the North Railway Station, took the train of Line 4, and went to Dayangtian parking train inspection depot and the control center to learn about the equipment operation and personnel attendance, and asked about the vehicle maintenance and dispatching in detail. Pei Hongwei affirmed and praised the operation management, passenger service, cultural creativity and other aspects of Line 4. 

On the afternoon of that day, Pei Hongwei attended the operation summary and commendation conference of Kunming Metro Line 4 at the initial operation stage. Wang Hanjun, general manager of the design and development group, delivered a speech, and Li Guoqing, secretary of the Party committee of UCD, presided over the conference. 

At the commendation conference, Xia Xiujiang, manager assistant of UCD and chairman of Yunnan Jingjian Rail Transit Investment and Construction Co., Ltd, summarized and reported the project's construction and operation, and reviewed the arduous course experienced by and the achievements made by the project team in the past four years in carrying out the requirements on industrial coordination and promoting high-quality development proposed by UCD. Mi Jianzhou, deputy secretary of the Party committee and chairman of the labor union of UCD, read out the commendation notice, and extended commendations to 7 units that provided close cooperation in the implementation of the project including Beijing Urban Construction Yatai Group Co., Ltd and to 10 people who made outstanding contributions in the implementation of the project. Representatives of the commended units and individuals gave speeches. 

At the conference, as the backbone shouldering the operational preparation, the operation since opening, and the future operation and management of Kunming Metro Line 4, 24 backbone members from Kunming operation branch of Yunnan Jingjian Rail Transit Investment and Construction Co., Ltd made their debut in uniforms, with vigor and vitality. He Xiong, general manager of Kunming operation branch, made a statement on the future operation and management work. 

Wang Hanjun said in his speech that, Kunming Metro Line 4 is led by UCD in the capacity of a social capital, which exploits to the utmost extent the company's advantages in design, investment, construction, operation, and cultural creativity, and provides professional and one-stop services for the subway in Kunming. The successful practice of the project represents a centralized review of the innovative wisdom and cooperation ability of personnel from UCD, and has greatly improved the cohesion and working effectiveness for various sectors to integrate and grow through coordination, which is of great significance for the high-quality and leaping development of the enterprise. We wish that the operation team, while providing high-quality services for the people of Kunming and building the brand reputation of Beijing Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Limited, will blaze a new trail of operation and management with its own characteristics, so as to make UCD go to a new height and achieve new results. 

At the end, Pei Hongwei made a concluding speech to extend congratulations to the advanced units and individuals who were awarded commendation, and thanks to the members of the project team for their hard work. He said that, Kunming Metro Line 4 is imbued with the painstaking efforts and sweat of every member from UCD. The breakthroughs in industrial chain, scientific and technological innovation, concept guidance, and operation and management fully embody the enterprise’s vision of “to be a leading urban construction comprehensive service provider with design”, and perfectly interpret its mission of “designing the city and building the future”. The opening and operation of Kunming Metro Line 4 is a major event of Beijing Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Limited, marking that the Group has officially opened a new era of entering the field of metro operation, and will leave an important chapter in the development history of it. 

Pei Hongwei finally stressed that as a “new recruit” in the field of metro operation, we should be willing to be a “primary school student”, always keep a clear mind, and do a good job in the future operation and management work. First, we should firmly insist on the safety development concept to ensure the safe and continuously stable operation. We should promote the continuous improvement of safe production and firmly hold the bottom line of safe production, with iron-like hands, determination, conscientiousness and disciplines. Second, we should adhere to benchmarking, strengthen overall coordination with all parties, constantly improve the quality and efficiency of operation and management, and achieve both social and economic benefits at the end. Third, we should enhance the guiding role of Party building, concentrate on promoting the scientific development of subway operation, and make continuous efforts to meet the people’s expectations for traveling by rail transit and build high-quality urban rail transit satisfactory to the people.
