Good News! Cloud Platform-based Rail Transit Integrated Automation System Wins Special Prize at the 4th National Conference on Plant Engineering and Technological Innovation Achievements
On August 22, the "Cloud Platform-based Rail Transit Integrated Automation System" developed by UCD stood out from the appraisal and evaluation of 1189 innovation achievements sponsored by the China Association of Plant Engineering and won the special prize at the appraisal and evaluation conference.
The 4th National Conference on Plant Engineering and Technological Innovation Achievements is a national exchange platform forged by the China Association of Plant Engineering for displaying and exchanging achievements in plant engineering and technical innovation and for the purposes of thoroughly carrying out Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and fully implementing the "Outline for National Innovation-Driven Development Strategy" and "Made in China 2025" strategy, under the guidance of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, so as to encourage and guide enterprises in various industries to actively promote plant engineering and technological innovation and to further enhance the innovation capabilities and core competitiveness of enterprises. The conference has been held thrice to date. During the conference, the innovation achievements release ceremony was held to issue certificates to award-winning units and individuals for national plant engineering and technological innovation achievements.
"Cloud platform-based rail transit integrated automation system" is a "rail transit weak current integrated solution" developed by UCD following the development trend of smart rail transit and using the latest technologies such as cloud computing, big data, and the Internet of Things to creatively solve the traditional difficult problems, such as the separate construction of rail transit weak current system, complicated interfaces, high operation and maintenance costs and the like. The integrated automation system provides rail transit owners with new ideas, new attempts and new practices for smart urban rail construction solutions.
The cloud platform-based rail transit integrated automation system has been successfully applied to Kunming Metro Line 4 and Taiyuan Metro Line 2. It is currently the most advanced system in the field of urban rail transit in domestic urban rail transit, and is the first integrated service integration cloud in the domestic rail transit industry. The core hardware of the system is the first set of station-level highly integrated equipment ------ intelligent all-in-one independently researched and developed by UCD. Through standardized interface design, distributed cloud and edge computing, real-time collection of data of all weak currents of the entire station are realized by a unified standard, thus substantially improving the transmission efficiency. The system platform has currently obtained 38 soft works and declared 17 invention patents, and there are many patents pending. On November 26, 2019, the system passed the Scientific and Technological Achievements Evaluation of China Association of Metros and received the title of "International Advanced Level". On March 16, 2020, the cloud platform-based rail transit integrated automation system won the first prize for scientific and technological progress awarded by China Association of Metros.
With the construction of a transportation-oriented big country and the development of smart rail transit with great efforts repeatedly mentioned and emphasized in the new capital construction arrangements, and in this upsurge of exploration and practice around smart urban rail, UCD has always insisted on seeking breakthroughs with innovative thinking and has continuously contributed wisdom and strength to rail transit construction. In the future, UCD will continue to adhere to its mission and conduct more innovative research with smart travel as the core to boost the entire urban rail transit industry towards digital, networked, automated, and intelligent development.
