Metro Line 10 of Shenyang Open to Traffic Marking the City’s Entry into the Era of Network Operation
On Apr. 29, 2020, the first phase of Metro Line 10 project of Shenyang was open for a trial operation, forming the“10-plus-loop line” pattern in Shenyang’s metro line structure, marking the entry of subways of Shenyang into the era of the network operation.
The first phase of the Metro Line 10 is a south-north line. From Dingxianghu Station in the north to Zhangshabu Station in the south, the line has a total track length of 27.187km all underground and is designed for B-type vehicle. There are a total of 21 stations on the line, 10 of which are transfer stations. Metro Line 10 is the second subway line opened by UCD, the general contractor, in Shenyang. To date, Line 1, Line 2, Line 9 and Line 10 have been opened in Shenyang, with a total mileage of 114 kilometers and 92 stations, ranking the city of Shenyang among cities of one-hundred-kilometer metro line operation.
Feasibility establishment for the first phase of Shenyang’s Metro Line 10 began in 2012. The construction started in March, 2013 and the trial operation commenced in April, 2020, going through a duration of 8 years. The trial operation started on Apr. 29, 2020.
