Expressway in Zunyi Makes a Good Score in Its Initial Operation

Starting from the foot of the Phoenix Mountain to the Liyi New Town, the expressway, known as “FengXin Expressway” and a PPP project of Zunyi, got full marks in the performance assessment of its initial operation!

On Apr. 23, the FengXin Expressway ushered in its performance assessment for the first time. The assessment team, which was composed of members from the Xinpu New Area management committee, housing construction bureau, finance bureau and integrated law enforcement bureau, made a joint appraisal of the expressway’s operation and maintenance in the first quarter of 2020. The team members firstly listened to the report on the management of the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the expressway, and then carefully inspected the road surface, bridges, pipelines and street lamps and asked about the management measures. Through serious and careful inspection made in a comprehensive, objective, in-depth and meticulous manner, the assessment team highly affirmed the operation and maintenance of the project and gave full marks for all the 17 indicators without any deduction of marks, thereby laying a good foundation for the project operation and maintenance in the future.

Completed and opened to traffic on May 9, 2019, the FengXin Expressway will be in its operational period for a duration of 10 years, and officially entered upon the operation and maintenance period on January 1, 2020. In the operation of the expressway, UCD has established a good image of itself with excellent services by fully drawing on its own experience accumulated in municipal road construction, formulating scientific and effective management measures in line with the actual conditions, implementing the performance indicators to the letter and carrying out inspection responsibility with high standard and in a strict way.

The FengXin Expressway is situated in the central-western part of the central urban area of Zunyi, Guizhou Province. Starting from the foot of the Phoenix Mountain in the west and ending at the Liyi New town in the east, the expressway runs as long as 1.86 kilometers. As an important link for the urban infrastructure construction in Zunyi, the expressway is one of the east-west trunk roads few and far between in the central urban area, and has a stake in the rapid development of the Xinpu New Area and the alleviation of traffic congestion in the central area of Zunyi.
