Commendatory Letter from Airport Line Proprietor 

Beijing Metro Construction Administration Corporation Ltd. sent a commendatory letter to bestow praise on UCD’s design team for Daxing International Airport line in Beijing. Daxing International Airport Line was built and opened to traffic before the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. On Sep. 25, 2019, Chinese President Xi Jinping inspected the line and took a ride on the line, and made important instructions, such as “Urban rail transit is the orientation for the development of transportation in modern big cities. Developing rail transit is an effective way for tackling urban diseases, as well as an efficient way for building green and intelligent cities”, “Beijing should continue to energetically develop rail transit, construct comprehensive, green, safe, intelligent, stereoscopic and modern urban transportation systems, always maintain the most advanced international levels, and forge itself into a modern international metropolis” and “Transportation is the first mover for urban modernization. We should establish advanced management concepts, apply modern information technologies, to improve the levels of intelligentized and facilitated operation and management”.

In the course of project construction, UCD’s design team presented prominent design and management capabilities, coordinated all the design cooperations from rail transit, civil aviation and high-speed train sectors, and fulfilled the tasks perfectly. The Daxing International Airport Line finds itself well-operated since its opening to traffic. Currently, the average daily passenger volume ranges from 14000 person-times to 15000 person-times.
