Zunyi Fenghuangshan—Liyixincheng Expressway project open to traffic formally

On the morning of May 9, the ceremony for the traffic-opening of Zunyi Fenghuangshan—Liyixincheng Expressway project was held. Feng Junfeng, the vice secretary to the Party Working Committee, the secretary to the Party Group of the Management Committee, and the director of Xinpu New District, attended the ceremony and announced the opening to traffic. Wang Hanjun, General Manager of Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group, gave a speech on the opening to traffic. 

Liu Xiaochun, the vice secretary to the Party Committee and the general manager of Zunyi New District Construction Investment Group, said while hosting the ceremony for the opening to traffic that, with the great supports and concerns of the Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Government, Honghuagang District, Xinpu New District, and each department, and with the joint efforts of each unit participating in the construction, Fenghuangshan—Liyixincheng Expressway project has been completed and opened to traffic, symbolizing the overall run-through of another urban express line from the central urban area to Xinpu New District of Zunyi City. Its run-through will compose a new chapter of the urban area development, and meanwhile, make Zunyi New District Development Investment Co, Ltd. and Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Ltd recorded in the construction history for ever. 

In his speech at the ceremony, Wang Hanjun, General Manager of Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group, expressed his gratitude to all leaders and friends from all social circles who care about and support the construction of this project. Zunyi Fenghuangshan—Liyixincheng Expressway is an urban fast passage built up in the air and connecting the new and old urban areas, and it is equipped with two-storey and three-storey steel-truss bridges, with more than 60,000t steel used in total, ranking a leading place in domestic municipal field for single steel-truss bridge. Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group, as the bid winner of the PPP project, has made full use of the full industry chain coordination advantages, persisted in high-efficiency investment, high-standard construction, and high-requirement management, and completed the task of opening to traffic with high quality guaranteed after more than 500 days and nights, and with the great supports of Xinpu New District Management Committee, Honghuagang District, and Zunyi New District Development Investment Co., Ltd. From now on, a bridge crossing the east and west becomes an express air corridor connecting the old and new urban areas. With roads connected, everything will go smoothly. Fenghuangshan—Liyixincheng Expressway will surely become a road of development, a road of prosperity, and a road of future connection which will promote the local economy. Zunyi Fenghuangshan—Liyixincheng Expressway, as a dazzling project which integrates technology, intelligence, technology, environmental protection, and landscape, has won a series of important awards at present, including the top honor of the domestic architectural steel structure industry – Gold Award for Steel Structure, as well as 2 national grand awards, 12 provincial and ministerial awards, and 6 patents for utility models. These achievements and honors are indispensable from the trust and support of the leaders of Zunyi Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the scientific research and difficulty tackling of engineering technical personnel, and the hard works of all project personnel. 

He said, the completion and opening to traffic of this project is not only a successful node of the project construction, but even a brand-new starting point of operation and maintenance management, and they would continue to do a good job in operation maintenance and serve Zunyi’s city construction with top-ranking quality and services according to high standards and strict requirements. Meanwhile, he hopes that the two parties could further expand the cooperation in future work, make the tree of friendship evergreen, and make the road to win-win cooperation become increasingly broad. 

After the ceremony for the opening to traffic, all leaders observed the road of Fenghuangshan—Liyixincheng Expressway on the spot. 

Relevant departments directly subordinated to Zunyi City, departments directly subordinated to Honghuagang District and Xinpu New District, Zunyi New District Development Investment Co., Ltd., Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Ltd, and principals of each unit participating in the construction participated in the ceremony for opening to traffic.
