UCD’s Fifth “Health Cup” Walks Conducted

Beijing has ushered in a pleasant spring full of life in April. The fine weather prompted UCD to launch the 5th “Health Cup” Walks at the Olympic Forest Park in Beijing. More than 300 people, including staffs from UCD’s administrative organs, institutes and subsidiary companies and their family members, took part. The event was sponsored by UCD’s trade union and was undertaken by the trade union of the rail transit company.

At 8 a.m., 13th of April, with banners flaunting in the wind at the west gate of the park, those who took part in the event gathered and took group photos with a streamer in front to enjoy the time. UCD’s deputy Party and trade union chairperson Mi Jianzhou presided over the opening ceremony of the “Health Cup’ Walks. He expressed thanks to those active participators and was grateful to the rail transit company for their meticulous organization. He hoped for the safety in the event and wished all participators a happy time! Liao Qiulin, manager of the rail transit company, spoke on behalf of the event organizer, saying that the rail transit company was much honored to undertake the event and wishing all to advance toward health, wealth and happiness by virtue of the walking event！When UCD’s deputy general manager Wang Liang declared the kickoff of the event, all participators started to walk with giant strides in high spirits and full of vigor and advanced in the warm sunlight towards the spring full of hopes！

The walkers admired the beauty of flowers and grass along the way and talked freely, with flowers and people forming a delightful contrast and words and laughter being joys both mentally and physically. Among the people, children were the happiest, who, with colorful pinwheels and balloons in hand, shuttled back and forth among the adults with shouts and laughter as if they were spirits in spring. At each fork road, a group of guides used the signs to show the way for the walkers；at the booster stations set up in the middle of the roads, the warm-hearted staffs prepared mineral water for the walkers, with UCD’s flags flying in the wind to as if cheer for the walkers；along all the roads amateur photographers shot pictures now and then to record the wonderful moments；and finally, at the finish, smiling staffs waved balloons and red banners to hail the walkers’ triumphant return！

On the finest day of April, you and me, lovely colleagues and dear family members mapped out a beautiful and vivid line of scenery in the beautiful spring. They got tempered physically, eased their pressures, and strengthened mutual communication to form a good image and consolidate the cohesion. Today, we keep abreast of each other to practice health walks in the light of“Healthy Work and Happy Life”. Next day, we make strenuous efforts, hand in hand, for the realization of the target of“A Powerful Enterprise Makes Happy Employees”in the future！We are together and we advance together！
