Meeting Held to Underscore the Principle of Strengthening Party Self-discipline in 2019

On Mar. 13, UCD’s Party Committee organized the Bulletin on Meetings of Democratic Life & Working Conference for Strengthening Party Self-discipline, 2019. Under the guideline of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the meeting aims to carry out the spirit of the third plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and of the fourth plenary session of Beijing’s 12th municipal commission for discipline inspection as well as spirit of UCD’s Working Conference for Strengthening Party Self-discipline, and to make work arrangements for UCD to strengthen Party self-discipline, construct the Party conduct and honest and clean governance within the company, and combat corruption in the year of 2019.

At the meeting, UCD’s General Manager Wang Hanjun gave an account of the meetings of democratic life for the leading group held in 2018. Party Secretary Li Guoqing set forth definite requirements for strengthening Party self-discipline in 2019, and signed the letters of responsibility for strengthening Party self-discipline with UCD’s leading group and representatives of secretaries of Party organizations at various levels. Secretary of UCD’s Party discipline inspection commission Li Siguo communicated the spirit of the third plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and of the fourth plenary session of Beijing’s 12th municipal commission for discipline inspection, and made a work report under the title of Devotion to Work Posts and Loyalty to Duty Performance to Push Ahead the Construction of the Party Conduct and Clean Governance.

Party Secretary Li Guoqing delivered important remarks at the meeting. He pointed out that CPC General Secretary Xi Jinping, in his important speech made at the third plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, has fully affirmed the significant achievements scored in strengthening Party self-discipline since the CPC’s 19th National Congress from the perspective of the overall development of the Party and state undertakings, profoundly summed up the valuable experiences in making self-revolution over 40 years since the reform and opening up, and has emphasized that strict Party governance must be pushed forward unswervingly and the overwhelming victories won in anti-corruption struggle be consolidated and developed, so as to provide a solid guarantee for winning the decisive victory in the construction of a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way. General Secretary Xi’s speech is of great guiding significance to developing the cause of strengthening Party self-discipline far and wide in the new era.

The meeting demanded that Party organizations at various levels conscientiously study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi’s important speech, fully recognize and profoundly grasp the present situations and tasks for strengthening Party self-discipline, earnestly seek unity of thoughts and actions to be in line with the spirit of General Secretary Xi’s important speech, further construct the work pattern of giving responsibilities and pressures to all units, have a firm grip on the work of strengthening Party self-discipline in a persistent way, actively build a healthy, clean and upright atmosphere for making greater achievements, constantly strengthen the awareness of the rules and law-abiding habits among Party members and cadres, and foster a sound political ecosystem in the enterprise.

The meeting was presided over by Deputy Party Secretary Mi Jianzhou. Nearly 80 persons, including members of UCD’s leading group, heads of administrative departments and offices, leaders of various units, and staff representatives, attended the meeting.
