UCD’s Post-Doctoral Scientific Research Station Inaugurated
On Jan.23, 2019, the opening of UCD’s Post-Doctoral Scientific Research Station kicked off at the National Engineering Laboratory in the office area of Sanlihe, Beijing. Director Wang Hanjun and Li Shigui, head of the Experts and Post-Doctors Work Department of Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, jointly unveiled the nameplate for the station. UCD’s Chief Engineer Yang Xiuren presided over the unveiling ceremony, and Li Xiu, Chief Engineer of the Experts and Post-Doctors Work Department of Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, as well as UCD’s Deputy Party Secretary Mi Jianzhou, UCD’s deputy general managers Yu Songwei and Ma Haizhi, and leaders of various institutions and departments, attended the ceremony.
The meeting began with Wei Yun’s briefing on the application for the work station, and the work procedures and development plans for the work station. Wang Hanjun and Li Shigui delivered remarks respectively. Wang Hanjun pointed out that the scientific research station is of great significance to strengthening UCD’s scientific and technical innovation and industrialization and facilitating the technological advances in the rail transit industry. In the meanwhile, UCD will give energetic support in terms of system, mechanism, fund, personnel training numbers and benefit for post-doctors. Li Shigui affirmed UCD’s achievements made in personnel cultivation and the company’s scientific research competencies. He suggested that the scientific research station be well utilized to enrich ways for personnel recruitment, to expand channels for personnel cultivation, and to store up high-level trained personnel.
The post-doctoral scientific research station is UCD’s first personnel-oriented innovation platform at the national level, and is an important engine for UCD to cultivate high-level innovation-oriented youth talents, to implement its innovation-driven development strategy, and to boost the scientific and technological industrialization. UCD will give full play to the scientific research talents cultivation mechanism of the station, and will go to great lengths to build a high-level post-doctoral scientific research station that is oriented toward various institutions and departments, so as to bring about the technological development and progress in the rail transit sector.
It took three years to apply for the establishment of the post-doctoral scientific research station, and heartfelt thanks go to UCD’s leaders and related departments for their energetic support and maximal cooperation in this process!
