Underground Comprehensive pipe rack Comprehensive Pipe Rack（South Canal Section）All Open in Shenyang

Warm congratulations on the opening of the whole underground comprehensive pipe rack（South Canal section）in Shenyang on Nov. 20! At present, the tunnel is a double-line single-rounded shield pipe rack of the longest mileage in the world.

On April 13, 2015, Shenyang became the first of the first 10 pilot cities for underground comprehensive pipe rack in China. UCD undertook the pilot project for the general contracting, design and management of the comprehensive pipe rack at the South Canal section as well as the design of the work-point section（about 5 kilometers long）. Meanwhile, the project ranked in the forefront in China in terms of similar mileage shield driving speed and was highly recognized by Shenyang urban and Rural Construction Committee and the pipe rack PPP proprietors.

Under the supervision of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Ministry of Finance, the project was energetically supported by UCD’s leaders, experts and units at all levels for its successful completion. Special thanks to Xiao Ran, leader in charge of the project who acted rigorously and innovatively and brought the overall plan under good control, and thanks to Xiao Chuande who played second fiddle to Xiao Ran in the project construction and worked hard in Shenyang for 3 years. Also thanks to Chen Dong for the technical support he offered in feasibility study assessment and comprehensive review of the preliminary design.
