Construction of Rail Transit Line 10 Started in Guangzhou, Green Subway for a Better Life

Green subway for a better life! On the morning of Nov.19, Dongsha Station, the starting point for the construction of Line 10 undertaken by UCD, served as a branch meeting-place to stand for Line 10 for the initiation of the construction of 6 new lines along with the main meeting-place and other 4 branch meeting places, marking the beginning of a new round of rail transit constructions in Guangzhou.

At 9：00, colored flags were waving and machineries stood in great numbers at the construction site of Dongsha Station, which is situated near the bank of the Pearl River. Dressed in unified outfit, workers presented themselves in high spirits. Publicity films of Guangzhou Subway Line 10, Guangzhou Metro Group, China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC) and UCD were played repeatedly in a rolling style on the large TV screen on site. At 10：00, the opening ceremony kicked off at the main meeting-place, with the real-time event televised live to all other branch meeting-places.

 After the grand ceremony conducted at the main meeting-place, representatives of UCD and China Railway Construction South China Construction Co., Ltd. delivered remarks on behalf of the construction units, saying that the simultaneous construction of all 6 new lines in Guangzhou was a great event in the history of urban construction of Guangzhou. As the “Red-Gene” backbone of the national construction sector, UCD and CRCC exceedingly cherish the   opportunity and arena provided by Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee, Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government and Guangzhou Metro Group, and offered to build Line 10 into its perfection in sincere co-operation and with concerted efforts. The representative of Guangzhou Metro Group then took the floor, demanding that the construction units make good plans to ensure a quality performance, to optimize resource allocation and to innovate on technical management, and go all out to fulfill the construction of Line 10 the earliest possible to present a satisfactory job to Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government.

Representatives of UCD, proprietors, general designers and combo leaders went on to the stage to jointly activate the project staring pole and took a group photo to mark the occasion. This way, construction of Line 10 of Guangzhou kicked off successfully.

A total of more than 400 people, including leaders and workers from Guangzhou Metro Group, Guangzhou Metro Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd., CRCC, China Railway Construction South China Construction Co., Ltd., China Railway 11 Bureau Group Co., Ltd., China Railway 12 Bureau Group Co., Ltd., China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd., China Railway 16 Bureau Group Co., Ltd., China Railway 18 Bureau Group Co., Ltd.,、China Railway 19 Bureau Group Co., Ltd., China Railway 20 Bureau Group Co., Ltd., China Railway 21 Bureau Group Co., Ltd., and China Railway 25 Bureau Group Co., Ltd., took part in the grand occasion.
