BJUCD Headquarters’ No.1 Party Branch carries out Party Day Activity to celebrate CPC’s 97th anniversary 

--A visit to the New Culture Movement Memorial of Beijing 

In order to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the Communist Party of China(CPC), deeply study and carry out Xi Jinping’s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, improve the understanding to the Party’s thoughts, deeply understand the Party’s advanced concepts and ignite the patriotism, BJUCD Headquarters Party Branch organized its Party members and activists for joining the Party, more than 20 Beijing-based participants in total, to visit the New Culture Movement Memorial of Beijing on July 13. 

Built on the original site of the Red Mansion of Peking University, the New Culture Movement Memorial of Beijing is the supreme headquarters of the New Culture Movement, the cradle of the May 4 Movement, and an important base for the early activities of the CPC. The memorial presents an all-around introduction to the May 4 Movement and some historical records on the Red Mansion.

The visitors saw the historical appearance of the Library Director’s Office, Entry Room, No. 2 Reading Room and No. 14 Stack Room inside the Red Mansion, as well as the New Tide Press, Student Classroom and Red Mansion’s Gate. They also visited the theme exhibitions on Cai Yuanpei and Chen Duxiu, had a comprehensive study on the work of the forerunners including Chen Duxiu, Cai Yuanpei, Mao Zedong and Li Dazhao in the Red Mansion, and experienced the historical aroma of the building in the May 4 Movement and the New Culture Movement. The visitors focused on the theme displays of Red Footprints: Experience of the Constitution of CPC and Remain true to our original aspiration: the Early Spread of Marxism in China, and watched the memorial’s cultural relics, books and other collections mainly on the New Culture Movement’s historic celebrities like Lu Xun.    

Through the Party Day activity, the Beijing-based Party members and activists for joining the Party accepted the education on revolutionary tradition and Party spirit through recalling the struggle experience and brilliant feats of revolutionary forerunners, and determined to inherit and promote the revolutionary spirit of the older-generation Party members with actual practice, keep the Party oath firmly in mind, love the positions and work hard, give full play of the pioneering role as a Party member and make contributions to the company’s development.
