UCD Rated as Champinship Unit 2017 for the Execution of the Design Contract of Subway Line 19 of Beijing
Recently, the Third Project Center of the Beijing Municipal Rail Transit Construction Man-agement Co., Ltd. called the Work Arrangement Conference 2018 for the first-stage project of Subway Line 19 of Beijing. As the general design contractor, UCD was rated at the con-ference as the Championship Unit 2017 for the execution of the design contract by virtue of its perfect strength and professional services.
Located in west Beijing and started from Haizijiao area of Daxing District to Shahe area of Changping District in north Beijing, Line 19 presents larger intervals between the stations and a higher speed target value. Suited to the marshalling of 8 A-type vehicles, the line ap-plies to a speed up to 120km/h. With a speed upper limit of 100km/h caused by the civil en-gineering construction, the first-stage project is a large-capacity, south-north express metro line traversing the central area of Beijing. The metro line constructed in the first stage starts from Xingong, Fengtai District in south Beijing and extends all the way to Mudanyuan Sta-tion in Haidian District of north Beijing.
In the central area of Beijing, the line passes under existing lines for many times. The line traverses narrow roads and areas where pipes are densely installed, demanding a bigger burial depth and making the construction more difficult. Innovated construction methods were used in many parts of the design and construction to bring down the difficulty in the construction of the line in the central urban area. Meanwhile, the northern part of the line links up Jinrong Street and Mudanyuan, which are the main places where aviation passengers gather, while the southern part shows a relay transfer at Caoqiao Station and on the New Air-port line to evacuate passengers to the New Airport line for the entry into the urban areas.
As the general design contractor for the first-stage project of Line 19, UCD set up a per-fect team of total package design since July, 2015. In the light of high standards and strict requirements, the team made reasonable arrangements, meticulous plans and rigorous de-signs to ensure the construction of an excellent project. At present, the main structure of the whole line has entered into a period of substantial construction. Pilot tunnels of main struc-ture have been cut through on the whole at Mudanyuan Station, Beitaipingzhuang Station, Pinganli Station, Jinrong Street Station and Niujie Street. The Xinfadi Station is already eli-gible for shield launching; construction of fender posts has been completed at Jishuitan Sta-tion, Caoqiao Station and Xingong Station, with some foundation pits dug down to the bot-tom. Construction of the main structures has begun at the section between Jinrong Street Sta-tion and Pinganli Station and the section between Beitaipingzhuang Station and Mudanyuan Station. The section between Xinfadi Station and Caoqiao Station and the section between Pinganli Station and Jishuitan Station have all been qualified for shield launching , which will start soon.
