Technical Experts Invited to Give Special Lectures in Changsha

 

On the afternoon of Mar. 7, at the invitation of Changsha Metro Group Co., Ltd., UCD’s technical expert Shen Jingyan and deputy chief engineer Yu Zhihong gave lectures at the said metro group, featuring the theme of“Rail Traffic System and the Rail Transit of Smart Cities”.

In his lecture entitled“Choice and Reflection of the Urban Rail Transit System”, Shen Jingyan summarized and appraised the present development of China’s rail transit industry, analyzed the technical features and range of application of various kinds of transportation systems by use of typical domestic cases, and stressed the necessity of exploring the multi-system rail transit for the sustainable development of the urban rail transit industry. Finally, he put forward nine major factors for the choice of vehicle types, providing a feasible approach for the choice of rail transit vehicle types in Changsha. It was pointed out in the theme lecture of“Orientation for the Development of the Rail Transit Industry in Smart Cities”that“construction of rail transit networks and operation centers”will be the orientation for the development of the rail transit industry in smart cities and that the cloud platform will be used to accelerate the construction of the rail transit industry in smart cities. The urban rail transit cloud system and the full automatic driverless system were also introduced in detail in the lecture, providing an innovative practice approach for the construction of the rail transit industry in smart cities.

Both sides also exchanged views in terms of the choice of vehicle types, information cloud platform and automatic drive, etc. Changsha Metro Group Co., Ltd. spoke highly of the important contributions made by UCD to the construction of the urban rail transit industry.
