Release of the Guide Rules for Intelligent Pipe Rack Construction,  a Most Instructive Document Unveiled by UCD to Facilitate the Pipe Rack Industry

On March 11, the 15th anniversary celebration of the Intelligent Construction Branch of China Construction Industry Association and the Summit Forum on the Development of the Intelligent Construction Industry 2018 kicked off successfully in Beijing. At the forum, the Guide Rules for Intelligent Pipe Rack Construction, a documentation formulated with UCD as a co-editor, was released ceremoniously.

The Guide Rules for Intelligent Pipe Rack Construction, which was edited chiefly by the Intelligent Construction Branch of China Con-struction Industry Association with UCD as a co-editor, profoundly interprets such intelligence techniques as big data, cloud computing, internet of things, 5G, BIM, GIS, VR, AR, satellite navigation and ar-tificial intelligence, analyzes the application of the core ideology and connotation of intelligent pipe rack, and fully explains the basic sys-tem and the intelligent management platform construction, filling in the gaps of the industry and related fields, opening up the first-ever practice of the industry, and is of great importance to facilitating the implementation of  new-type intelligent cities.

As a representative of the major co-editors, An Weihua, a UCD staff, made a keynote speech entitled Sharing of Cases of Intelligent Pipe Rack Design. Based on his years of experience in intelligent pipe rack design, An Weihua summed up key points in design of in-tellectualized pipe rack system and shared cases of intelligent pipe rack design in different forms and with different features.
