Ceremony kicks off for the commencement of the Grand Municipal Works in the first period of Phase-II K.K. Project in Angola

On April 24, the ceremony was held to mark the commencement of the first period of Phase-II K.K. the Grand Municipal workswhich was surveyed and designed byUCD.

Arthur Fortunato, the Minister of Construction of Angola, and Higino Carneiro, the Governor of the Province of Luanda, expressed in their speeches that, Angola government implemented this important project involving people’s livelihood, to improve people’s living standard, which also specifically embodied that China and Angola have strengthened the cooperation. Angola would continuously deepen the cooperation with China, to promote the all-round development of society and economy.

Meanwhile, H.E. Cui Aimin, the Chinese Ambassador to Angola, extended warm congratulations to the commencement in his speech. He praised that, K.K. the New Town Series of Construction Projects was a successful model of the pragmatic cooperation of China and Angola, and expressed that, China would continue to advance the high-level, multilayer and wide-ranging development of cooperation.

The Grand Municipal Works in the first period of Phase-II K.K  is the supporting infrastructure project of Phase II Housing of K.K. the New Town. And UCD is responsible for missions including survey and design service as well as design management.
