UCD’s 4th “Health Cup” 3×3 Basketball Game Brings to a Satisfactory Conclusion
On October 14, the “Health Cup” 3×3 Basketball Game which was held once a year by UCD among its employees, kicked off on schedule at the gymnasium of USTB (University of Science and Technology Beijing). Sponsored by the labor union of Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Ltd and organized by the labor union of Rail Transit Design and Research Institute, the game saw a joyful gathering of more than 100 players of 18 teams from 12 units of Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Ltd. The party secretary of the company Li Guoqing attended the opening ceremony and gave a speech brimming with warm feeling. In the golden autumn, the crown of the year, the impassioned kick-off of the basketball game made all UCD people feel the vigor and ardor of sports. Li Guoqing hoped that all players could get good results in the game and wished the game a complete success!
After a day’s fierce competition in 40 games, the team from Beijing Rail and Transit Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. finally won the championship;team of Beijing Municipal Engineering and Research Institute came second;and the team of AGILETECH Engneering Consultants Co., Ltd. took third place. Other teams ranking among the Top Eight included No.1 team of UCD administrative organs, No. 1 team of Beijing Institute of Architectural Design, No.2 team of Beijing Municipal Engineering and Research Institute, and No.1 team of Beijing Municipal Engineering Survey and Design Institute.
As one of the sports events of traditional brand organized by UCD’s labor union which remains the most favorite among the younger employees, the basketball match has been organized in five years running from 2012 through 2016. With the event attracting the basketball lovers to take part enthusiastically every year, the amateurs signed up for the game actively, set up teams spontaneously and trained conscientiously. They played full of vim and vigor in the games and maintained friendship of the games, reflecting the vitality of young people and facilitating UCD’s own corporate culture of solidarity, struggle, strictness and go-ahead. At the same time, the basketball match enabled the vast numbers of young people to get away from their stressful work and spend a little time on sports games to build up health and relax.
