Symposium held to mark the 95th anniversary of the birth of the Communist Party of China

The UCD held a seminar to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and an awarding symposium on July 1. The company honored the advanced grassroots Party organizations, outstanding Communist Party members and outstanding Party Worker emerged during its development. The meeting was chaired by He Yingxin, director of the Party Committee Work Department. Li Guoqing, Party Committee secretary, Li Siguo, Secretary of the Discipline Committee of the Party, Jin Huai and Wang Liang, both deputy general managers, and secretaries of the grassroots Party organizations, directors of General Offices, and part of the advanced groups and representatives that were honored participated in the meeting. Three representatives honored delivered speech at the meeting. Addressing the meeting, Li Guoqing, Secretary of the Party Committee, made the requirements that all the Party members should inherit the fine tradition of the Party, unite and lead the staff members to enhance morale, grasp the opportunities while following the guideline of the spirit of the meeting of the Central Committee and the serial important speeches of the General-Secretary Xi Jinping. The Party members should boost their initiatives and contribute their new energy to pushing forward the coordinated development of the complete industrial chain of the group, accelerating the pace towards the “10-billion enterprises” and forging the “urban construction comprehensive service provider led by design”.

At the meeting, Li Guosi, secretary of the Discipline Committee of the Party, announced the “Circular on Honoring the Advanced Grassroots Party Organizations, Outstanding Communist Party Members and Outstanding Party Worker, and honored six Party branches including the Changchun Sub-Institute, 36 Outstanding Party members including Zhang Yan from the No.1 Institute of the Railway Institute and 4 Party Workers including Cheng Changsheng. At the meeting, representatives of the Advanced Grassroots Party Organizations, Outstanding Communist Party Members and Outstanding Party Workers were conferred the Honorable Certificates. Zhang Jian, Party Branch Secretary of the No. 13 Section of the Phase III of Beijing No. 8 Subway under the General Contractor Department of the Project, Cheng Changsheng, Party Branch Secretary of the Angola Sub-Institute of the Investigation and Surveying Institute and You Minyu from the Civil Engineering Institute of the Municipal Administration Academy delivered speeches.

After listening to the speeches, Li Guoqing, Party Committee Secretary, expressed his warm congratulations to the advanced groups and individuals honored on behalf of the company Party Committee and extended festival greetings and heart-felt gratitude for the Party members working on different positions. Secretary Li Guoqing summed up the proud achievements in the Party construction of the company during the past year and proposed requirements for the continuously strengthened Party construction. First, Party members should get a clear understanding of the situation, correctly charter the way forward of the Party construction. Since the 18th National Congress of the Party, General-Secretary Xi Jinping has made several important instructions, stressing during the process of State-owned enterprise reform, “it should unswervingly adhere to the Party's leadership, and unswervingly strengthen the Party's Construction”. The Party Organization should shoulder the important responsibility of pushing forward the reform of the enterprise and the head of the Party Organization should set up a good example for the implementation of “the Priority Responsibility Person for the Party construction work”, earnestly contrast the “responsibility list for Party construction” and shoulder the subject responsibility of “the Party should supervise its own conduct and run itself with strict discipline” and perform their duties. Second, Party members should be integrated with their central work, give full play to the role of concentrating as one of the Party Organization and the advanced model role of Party member. Party Organization should take the opportunity of the current study education of “studies on the theoretical and practical issues of party building”and guide each Party member to stress on politics, have confidence, stick to rules, be disciplined, stress on morals, have good conduct, emphasize on contribution and be useful, guide each Party member to be qualified Party members and strive to be the Party member who are “good in political qualification, capable of on-position skills, with good performance and winning good appraisals from the masses”. Third, Party members should continuously enhance the scientific level of Party construction of the enterprise. Party Organizations at various levels should carry out the overall requirements of discipline, continuously to strengthen the clean governance of the Party style, earnestly study the rules and regulations of the Party such as the “Guidelines” and “Ordinances” and make efforts to enhance the standard of performing duties. The Party Organizations should push forward the construction of professional team in a coordinated way, pay high attention to the construction of the Party organizations working in a second place, and enhance the level of Party organization construction. Party Organizations should pay attention to the construction of Party secretaries and endeavor to enhance the qualification of the grassroots Party branch secretary.

In the end, Li Guoqing stressed that company reform has entered its key stage. Under the new circumstances and in the face of new tasks, the Party organizations at various levels and Party members should inherit the fine tradition of the Party, unite and lead the staff members to enhance morale, grasp the opportunities while following the guideline of the spirit of the meeting of the Central Committee and the serial important speeches of the General-Secretary Xi Jinping. Zhang Yan, Liu Jia, Liu Mengyi, An Weihua, You Minyu, Xia Xiujiang and Yang Bin were elected as the Outstanding Communist Party Member of the UCD and Cheng Changsheng was elected as the Outstanding Party Worker of the UCD.
