UCD wins Title of “Worker Pioneer” in Anhui Province

At the Conference on Celebration of the May Day, Devotion to “Adjustment, Transfer and Promotion and Contribution to 13th Five-Year Plan” of Anhui Province held on April 29, the Department of WaihuanBeilu (North Road of Outer Ring) Project in Anqing was conferred the honorary title of “Worker Pioneer in Anhui Province” by the Anhui Province Labor Competition Committee and Anhui Provincial Trade Union.

The project is the first of its kind for completing public welfare municipal road in the form of PPP in China. Since the commencement of the project on June 6, 2015, all the staff members of the department have followed the spirit of “iron army” of being specially endurable and hardworking, set up the goal of forging the “urban construction comprehensive service provider led by design”, and overcome many difficulties such as too many household relocations, large amount of pipeline relocation, complicated natural conditions, too many river bridges, heavy workload for soft land basement treatment and too many rainy days. The quality and progress of the project won the high appreciation from the evaluation experts of the “Great Wall Cup”of Beijing Structure and gained vast attention and appreciation from all walks of life. Many counterparts came to visit and learn the experience of the project which also caught the attention of the central and local media. Related ministries and commissions of the central government and leaders from Anhui province also paid high attention to it and came for inspection. The project is dedicated to being a paradigm of creating a quality, speedy and highly effective engineering construction.
