The 3rd Health Cup Three-player Basketball Game successfully held

Snow forecasts a good harvest, and exercises bring a good health. In order to enrich the employees’ cultural life, build their body, strengthen the communication among the subordinates of UCD and foster a good physical exercise environment, the 3rd Health Cup Three-player Basketball Game was grandly held in the gymnasium of University of Science and Technology, Beijing on November 20, 2015, a snowy day.

Mi Jianzhou, deputy secretary of CPC UCD Committee and chairman of the Labor Union of UCD, Zhang Wei, vice president of Rail Traffic Institute, attended the game. Chairpersons of the subordinates led teams to attend the activity. More than 100 people including exciting and enthusiastic cheering squads attended the event.

The Game, sponsored by UCD Labor Union and organized by Rail Traffic Institute, was well organized and planned. A total of 15 teams from nine subordinates including UCD management unit, Rail Traffic Institute, Construction Institute, Municipal Facilities Institute, Urban Institute, Survey Institute, Project Contracting Department, Overseas Project Institute and Environmental Safety Company, attended the event. The event consisted of Round-robin and elimination games. Professional judge, scorekeeper and timekeeper were equipped at each of the four courts to guarantee the fairness and justice of the game. The subordinates posed their best lineup and studied the strategies based on experience from the previous two sessions. A total of 75 players from 15 teams attended the competition. All players were energetic and high-spirited in the course, showcasing unity, wisdom and braveness. After intense competition, eight out of 15 teams qualified the elimination games after the round-robin of 4 groups: Rail Traffic Institute Team I, Rail Traffic Institute Team II, Municipal Facilities Institute Team I, Urban Institute Team I, Construction Institute Team I, Construction Institute Team II, Environmental Safety Company Team, Survey Team I. After one-day fierce competition, Rail Traffic Institute Team I won the champion, followed by Municipal Facilities Institute Team I and Urban Institute Team I.

In the games, the players went to great lengths for each point. With great improvement of skills and abilities, the players presented an exciting and wonderful visual feast.  The game reflects the normalization of UCD’s cultural and sports activity. Cheering squads were excitingly cheering for the teams. The workers were carefully organizing the games. The game came to a successful end in the beautiful snow season.
