Association invited to participate in Zhengzhou Metro Photo Contest

Under the invitation of Zhengzhou Metro, the Beidajie Photo Association of the UCD organized its backbone members to Zhengzhou on Oct. 29, together with the shutterbugs of the Zhengzhou Sub-Institute, to participate in the From Downtown to Airport – Zhengzhou Metro Photo Contest. Wang Liang, deputy general manager of the corporation, Li Wenbo, president of Beidajie Photo Association, He Kangmin, vice-chairman of Beijing Photo Association, Zhang Xuejun, director of Zhengzhou Sub-Institute, Xia Jinghui, chief engineer of Zhengzhou Metro, Ma Haiqian, art supervisor, and Liu Tianxing, director of Political Division, jointly unveiled the four-month event. Deputy General Manager Wang Liang gave a speech at the launch ceremony on behalf of the corporation.

Zhengzhou Metro won the bid for Zhengzhou Airport Line in 2013. For two years, designers from the corporation and Zhengzhou Sub-Institute have contributed greatly to the smooth operation of the project. Their dedication, capability and achievement have gained appraisals from the proprietor. Currently, most sections of the project have started to lay tracks. The rail is expected to be put into trial operation by the end of next year.

To record the process of the design and construction of the line, Zhengzhou Metro led Henan Provincial Professional Photographers’ Association, Zhengzhou Sub-Institute and China Railway Group Zhengzhou Metro Commanding Division to sponsor the photo contest. They also invited photographers from Beijing and Zhengzhou to participate. Beidajie Photo Association sent a team consisting Li Wenbo, Jiang Xianyu, Du Juan, Wang Dongchun, Qi Rugang, Chen Peng and Yu Jinran for the event under the invitation.
