A strong company ensures happy life

--Congratulations to the achievements at the 6th Employees’ Sports Meeting of Beijing Urban Construction Group

On Oct. 15, the opening and closing ceremonies of the 6th Employees’ Sports Meeting of Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUCG) were grandly held at the National Olympic Sports Center. Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co (UCD), a subsidiary of BUCG, formed a 70-member foot formation at the ceremony. Led by a large company flag, the formation entered the sports venue in high spirits. The athletes held high the large red sign of “Design & Development Group”. A shape of three letters of “UCD” was formed by 40 young women athletes. The formation released 99 bundles of color balloons which symbolized the UCD has entered a new era and indicated the growing momentum of the UCD.

The 6th Employees’ Sports Meeting of the BUCG kicked off in April 2015 and lasted for seven months. The session included 14 events of walking, Chinese chess, go chess, playing cards, darts, billiards, tug-of-war, table tennis, swimming, basketball, rope-jumping, synergy of leaders, body-building exercise and track and field. The trade union of the UCD made careful plans and actively prepared for the session. The UCD sent more than 200 outstanding athletes to participate in all the events. By making good arrangements for the production and training at the same time, the UCD overcame many difficulties to achieve a good result. It won 10 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 12 bronze medals, displaying the sound bearing and demeanor of the group at the event.  

It is the flag that undertakes the magnificence of more than half a century of the company;

It is the flag that frames up the development traces in more than 50 domestic and overseas cities;

It is the flag that carries the new era of the Design and Development Group;

With the aim to “design the city, build the future”, the 4,000-staff members of the UCD will forge ahead to make themselves “a design-leading integrated service provider for urban construction”.
