UCD’s Beijing Track Structure Engineering Technology Research Center receives authentification of BMSTC

Recently, Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission (BMSTC) unveiled the 2014 authentification list of key laboratories and engineering and technology research centers in Beijing. After qualification review, expert appraisal and field investigation, Beijing Track Structure Engineering Technology Research Center (the research center) jointly applied by Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Limited (UCD), Beijing Jiaotong University and Anhui Chaohu Casting Factory Co., Ltd. was granted as a Beijing municipal engineering and technology research center. 

The research center will build a platform for Beijing’s track structure public R&D and technical service, develop standards for track system and products, carry out key technical researches on track structure and engineering, accelerate development and application of new products and new technologies, offer track traffic-related package services including design consulting, technical research, product development, standardization and certification, drive technical exchanges among relevant industries, universities, institutes and customers, nurture a group of senior technical talents, boost the development of Beijing’s track structure industry, and contribute to Beijing’s efforts for building a world city. 

The research center will focus on the below five aspects in its development. First, technical research on the evaluation of track structure’s safety, environmental protection and comfortableness; Second, R&D and technical research on multi-standard new track equipment; Third, R&D of comprehensive vibration reduction and equipment based on environmental friendly requirements; Fourth, research on mechanisms and measures for damages of track structure; and five, research on the inspection, test and evaluation technologies of track equipment.
