UCD’s 3rd “Health Cup” Staff Badminton games was held

UCD’s 3rd “Health Cup” Staff Badminton game was held at the Staff Fitness Center near the west gate of CCTV Tower on May 15, 2015. Mi Jianzhou, deputy secretary of the CPC Committee and chairman of the Labor Union of the company attended the activity and presented the prize to  the winners s. Xu Xiaodong, Deputy General Manager participated in competition as a player and presented prize  to the winning teams. Que Zi, chief engineer of the Institute of Municipal Engineering, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony on behalf of the organizer of the activity. Ma Rong, chairperson of the Labor Union of the Institute of Municipal Engineering, presided over the opening, closing / award ceremonies.

The games was hosted by the Labor Union of the company and organized by the Labor Union of the Institute of Municipal Engineering. A total of eight teams with 67 players from the company’s organs, the Institute of Rail Transit, the Institute of Architectures, the Institute of Municipal Engineering, the Institute of Urban Construction, the Institute of Survey, the Institute of Overseas Work and the Department of EPC participated in the competition under the leadership of the chairpersons of the labor unions, related people in charge and designated leaders of the teams. , There were eight disciplines in total, including Men’s Singles (Young), Women’s Singles (Young), Men’s Singles (Middle-aged), Women’s Singles (Middle-aged), Men’s Singles (Senior), Women’s Singles (Senior), Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles. The units concerned attached much importance to the competition, and organized trainings for selected players, showing their efforts to help the staff maintain good physical and spiritual conditions. 

It was an exciting game. The payers showed excellent skills and great courage; the referees showed their objectivity and impartiality as well as meticulosity. The games won great cheers of the audience. The badminton competition activates the passion of the people for sports games and attracts more people to participate in them. The staff members demonstrated the competitive spirit by sparing no efforts to win the games. The competition also enhances the communication between different units and strengthens the cohesion and vitality of the company.
