2015 Annual Meeting of Board of Directors of Urban Rapid Rail Transit cum the Launch of

2014 Annual Report of China Urban Mass Transit held in Guangzhou

Recently, the 2015 Annual Meeting of Board of Directors of Urban Rapid Rail Transit cum the Seminar on Concepts and Technologies for Efficient Rail Transit Operation jointly hosted by Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Limited and Beijing Jiaotong University jointly was held at Yanling Hotel, Guangzhou. The Launch of 2014 Annual Report of China Urban Mass Transit was held in the meantime. A total of more than 120 people, including representatives from the members of the Board of Directors of Urban Rapid Rail Transit, correspondents, special guests and representatives of authors of the 2014 Annual Report of China Urban Mass Transit attended the activities. The attendees were from more than 50 units, including more than 10 subway companies based in Hong Kong, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Wuhan, Kunming, Foshan and Shijiazhuang. 

Shi Zhongheng, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and editor-in-chief of Urban Rapid Rail Transit, delivered a video speech. Liu Guangwu, deputy general manager of Guangzhou Metro Corporation, and Zhang Xingchen, vice president of Beijing Jiaotong University, jointly unveiled the 2014 Annual Report of China Urban Mass Transit. Han Baoming, proprieter of Urban Rapid Rail Transit, made the work report to the representatives of the directors. Cao Xueming, vice proprieter of Urban Rapid Rail Transit, presided over the awards for excellent correspondents. Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Limited shared the experience in “application of geographic information system in urban rail transit projects” and “planning and implementation of modern tramcar projects”, which were highly praised by the attendees. 

Focusing on the theme of “concepts and technologies for efficient rail transit operation”, the seminar invited six senior experts in the industry for interview and discussion. Representatives of Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Limited participated in the discussion on behalf of the early stage planning and design units. The seminar carried out great explanation and discussion over the definition of rail transit operation efficiency, influence factors, responsible parties, management concepts and technical innovation. The experts answered the questions of the professional audience on site. They agree that, urban rail transit operation efficiency has a wide coverage and it is usually influenced by complicated factors in different aspects. Therefore, it needs the joint efforts of the whole industry chain and policy support of related government departments to improve the operation efficiency. The high-end interview made a success, both its form and content were generally recognized by the attendees.
