2015 China Urban Rail Transit Development and Equipment Key Technology Forum convened 

2015 China (Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei) Regional Rail Transit Development and Equipment Key Technology Forum cum the 24th Metro Symposium were convened in Tianjin from April 23 to 24. The conference was hosted by the Urban Rail Transit Technology Working Committee of China Civil Engineering Society (CCES) and organized by Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co. Ltd. (UCD). A total of more than 300 people participated in the meeting, including leaders, experts, scholars and engineers from the rail transit investors, developers and operators, scientific and research and design institutions, higher learning institutions, equipment manufacturers, construction companies, governmental departments, associations and societies from Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Zhengzhou, Wenzhou and Wuhan. 

On April 23, Wang Hanjun, director-general of Urban Rail Transit Technology Working Committee of CCES and general manager of UCD, presided over the opening ceremony. Ms. Zhang Yuping, secretary-general of CCES and counselor of the State Council, and Mr. Guo Lin, president of the World Railway Development and Research Society and former Deputy Minister of Railway, and other leaders attended the meeting and made important speeches at the opening ceremony. 

The theme of the forum, “Regional Rail Transit Networking - Interconnection”, is closely centered on the important strategy of the integrated and coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. A total of 26 experts elaborated on the key technologies of development and equipment of regional rail transit  from the aspects of regional rail transit development and planning, construction and design, and intra-city rail transit technology, interconnection technology and international experience, platform cases and international experiences. Du Yanliang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, attended the forum and made a keynote report Thinking on the Rail Transit Planning and Development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. Wan Xuehong, deputy general manager, made the report on Intra-city Fast Rail Planning and Key Technology at the meeting. 

The innovation projects on the rail transit design, construction, technology and engineering were cited at the meeting. The Green Building Technology of Zhangguozhuang Station of Metro Line 14 of Beijing and the Research and Application of the Key Technology of Modern Tram in Line 1, 2, 3, and 5 of Modern Tram Phase I Project of Hunnan New district of Shenyang of UCD were awarded as the innovation promotion projects. The forum has received and released 120 papers in the form of proceedings, covering all aspects of urban rail transit. It also awarded 26 outstanding papers according to the content. The papers of Feng Aijun, Tan Xiaohong and Feng Lin were rated as the outstanding ones.
