The 8th tendering section of Guangzhou Metro Line 13 highly appraised

The main structure of Dongzhou Station of Guangzhou Metro, contracted by the General Contract Department of UCD, was completed recently, becoming the first metro station of Guangzhou Metro Line 13 with main structure completed. The Construction Headquarters of Guangzhou Metro sent a letter of recommendation to praise all members of the Project Department of the 8th Tendering Section of Guangzhou Metro Line 13 for their concerted efforts and hard work. 

Dongzhou Station is located in Zengcheng, north side of the crossroad of the planned National Highway 107 and the planned road. The site was handed over partly in March 2013. The station was located close to the National Highway 107 and involved reconstruction and relocation of the sewage, telecommunication, gas supply and military optical cable pipeline. Facing the difficulties in reconstruction and relocation, the General Contract Department took various measures to create favorable conditions for the construction of the station. With active coordination, the project department carried out construction in an all-round way and completed the protection structure with only three months. To address the special geological impact caused by the foundation excavation, the project department optimized the construction methods, reasonably arranged the construction order, increased input and completed the earthwork safely and effectively. During the stage of the main structure construction, the project department carried out construction at two sites simultaneously, significantly improved the construction efficiency, ensured the construction quality and conformity with the schedule and completed the main structure with only five months. This station became the first of Metro Line 13 with the main structure completed.
