Establishment of Beijing Engineering Research Center of Railway Transportation & Energy Conversation and Railway Transportation & Energy Conversation Seminar Held Successfully

On the morning of January 30, 2015, the launch ceremony of Beijing Engineering Research Center of Railway Transportation and Energy Conversation (hereinafter referred to as “Railway Transportation and Energy Conversation Center”) and Railway Transportation and Energy Conversation Seminar were held in Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Ltd. Leaders of MOHURD，Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, Beijing Major Project Office, Xicheng District Government, etc., industrial experts including Academician Shi Zhongheng and Jiang Yi, specialists of CECEP, CECEP Engineering Technology Institute, Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing Qiansiyu Electric Co., Ltd., Beijing Railway Transportation Design Institute, Tsinghua University, Tianjin University, Beijing Subway, etc. and leaders including Wang Hanjun, General Manager of Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Ltd. and Li Guoqing, Secretary of Party Committee, totaling 50 or more people attended this meeting.

Launch Ceremony was presided over by Feng Aijun, Deputy Chief Engineer of Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Ltd. and Secretary-general of China Civil Engineering Society Urban Railway Transportation Technical Activities Committee who first introduced the establishment of Railway Transportation and Energy Conversation Center. Wang Hanjun, General Manager of Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Ltd. and President of Committee made an address and pointed out, with elite forces, Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Ltd. took up the important mission of promoting the development of railway transportation and energy conversation industry. In the future, Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Ltd. will give full play to the platform functions of center of technological innovation, industrial transformation and application promotion, vigorously carry out R&D and achievements popularization work in field of urban railway transportation and energy conversation, and provide complete industry chain services including energy conversation planning and design, special energy conversation projects, energy conversation products and energy management, to create a national engineering research center to lead and drive the healthy development of industry.

During later “Urban Railway Transportation and Energy Conversation Seminar”, themed by Urban Railway Transportation and Energy Conversation and Utilization, Li Guoqing, Secretary of Party Committee of Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Ltd. and energy conversation expert, analyzed the current situation of urban railway transportation energy utilization, pointed out the issues and objects that need to be focused on, and placed high hopes on the Center to achieve energy conversation and promote the establishment of energy conversation mechanism through technology innovation.

While Gu Qingyi, Chief Expert of Beijing Subway, themed by Beijing Subway Energy Conversation Technology, focused on the energy consumption of Beijing Subway, analyzed factors influencing energy consumption and introduced energy management concepts and energy conversation strategies of Beijing Subway.

Each side discussed on urban railway transportation energy conversation, especially subway ventilation and air conditioning energy conversation technology, hoping that Beijing Engineering Research Center of Railway Transportation and Energy Conversation would transform more technological innovation into productivity for railway transportation.
