First Conference of 7th Membership Representative Assembly and 7th Standing Council Hosted

by CCES Urban Rail Transit Technical Committee Made a Debut

On January 20, 2015, the first conference of 7th Membership Representative Assembly and 7th Standing Council hosted by CCES Urban Rail Transit Technical Committee made a debut in Beijing, attracting 74 representatives from 63 organizations engaged in domestic rail transit industry.

The Conference was presided over by Feng Aijun, the Secretary General of 6th term of Council. Liu Shijie, Vice Chairman of CCES was present as well as delivered speeches. The Conference was started with the work statement on the Council by Song Minhua, Chairman of 6th term of Council. Following the agenda, the 7th term of Council was determined and consensus was reached on the candidates for Chairman and Vice Chairman. Wang Hanjun, General Manager of Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group was nominated as the Chairman for the new Council; Feng Aijun, Deputy Chief Engineer, was nominated as Secretary General for the new Council.

The proposals and methods for setting up “Innovation Award for Rail Transit Technologies” were also adopted by the Committee during the Conference. The Committee Secretariat made a report on the preparation progress of “2015 (Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region) Forum on Key Development and Equipment Technologies for Regional Rail Transit and 24th Metro Symposium”.
