 Urgent Repairs on Rapid Railway Were Conducted by EPC Department for Smooth Operation during APEC

 

A few days ago, the EPC Department drew a perfect ending to urgent repairs on rapid railway, intended for normal operation during APEC, at the Capital Airport, which was the first attempt of company to conduct railway reinforcement and construction on the existing subway tunnel structure and rarely conducted at home.

Beijing suffered heavy rains in September, which resulted in tunnel settlement of south apron section on T2 sub-line of airport rapid railway; under the guidance and leadership of the People’s Government of Beijing City and the rapid railway company, the EPC Department set up a project team for treatment and urgent reinforcement on dislocation and transformation in the tunnel on T2 sub-line, to guarantee normal operation of airport rapid railway and maintenance service during APEC. Considering the site construction safety and spatial orientation accuracy, all equipment provided for the construction were recognized as stable performance, high accuracy; three-dimensional coordinate positioning method was adopted for the measurement; on the basis of design drawing, structure model was built with professional software and input in a timely manner in case of changes.

The project required as high precision as 0.1mm; besides, the construction period was limited with contact prohibited on equipment regarding three-rail, sensor board, communication signal and signal, in addition to no intervention to operation the following day; constrained by all mentioned above, the construction work were only conducted from 0 o’clock to 4 o’clock. After repeated tests, grouting was conducted at the close of October and the project embraced a perfect ending.
