“The First 2014 Urban Rail Transit Seminar of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan” held in Beijing  

On October 24-25,  “The First 2014 Urban Rail Transit Seminar of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan” organized by China Association of Metros, co-organized by Rail Engineering Society of Taiwan, Chung-Hwa Railway Industry Development Association, MTR Corporation Ltd. and the Macau Institution of Engineers and undertaken by three organizations including our company was held in Beijing. More than 300 guests from 108 organizations in the urban rail transit industry of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan attended this meeting. 

Board Chairman Wang Liping, General Manager Wang Hanjun, Deputy General Manager Liao Guocai and Chief Engineer Yang Xiuren of our company and Executive Deputy Manager Li Qian of China Metro Engineering Consulting Corporation were present at the meeting. Li Guoyong, an inspector of the Department of Basic Industry, National Development and Reform Commission, and Bao Xuding, the President of China Association of Metros gave opening remarks. 

The session on October 24 consists of open discussion and keynote speeches. On October 25, the attendees were organized to visit National Railway Track Test Center, China Academy of Railway Sciences. They boarded a train and experienced the test loop track of the test center. Besides, they also visited multiple state-level test centers. 

The successful holding of this seminar played a positive role in promoting technical exchange among Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in urban rail transit and strengthening networked research of urban rail transit and forcefully consolidated our status in the field of networked research of urban rail transit.
