“Who Wants to Be a Champion” ----Central China Institute
successfully held the first friendship badminton competition
In October, the golden autumn, the sky was clear and the air was crisp. Central China Institute held the first friendship badminton competition with a theme “who wants to be a champion”.
24 teams attended this competition. The competition included two events: men’s singles and mixed doubles. 36 players contended on the court. A competition system combining knockout at group matches and round-robin at finals was adopted. Through fierce competition, top 3 were generated in each event. Li Bo and Zhang Diying won the championship of mixed doubles and Lei Ming became the champion of men’s singles. Li Zhenwei, the Vice President of Central China Institute issued certificates of merit and prizes to the winners.
This competition not only provided an opportunity of self-exhibition, exchange and relaxation for the people but also created a chance of exercise and study for badminton lovers. We hope more badminton lovers take an active part in this sport, raise skills, strengthen physique and develop a healthy and happy working and living atmosphere!
