Preliminary Design of Qingdao No. 1 of Metro Line Project (Intermediate Draft) Passed Expert Review
Entrusted by Qingdao Metro Group Co., Ltd., the company has organized and held the Expert Consultation Review Meeting for Qingdao No. 1 of Metro Line Project Preliminary Design (Intermediate Draft) from the 9th to 12th of October. The expert team, including 21 experts from Beijing, Tianjin and Xi’an, was invited to attend the meeting. Participated in the meeting, were also the departmental leaders and representatives from Qingdao Metro Group Co., Ltd., China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co. Ltd., China Railway First Survey and Design Institute Group Co. Ltd. , the Third Railway Survey and Design Institute Group Corporation, China Railway Tunnel Survey and Design Institute Co. Ltd., China Railway Electrification Survey Design and Research Institute Co. Ltd., China Railway Engineering Consulting Group Co. Ltd. etc.
During the three day session, the expert team inspected the project site, carefully reviewed relative documents and materials, and listened to the detailed preliminary design report given by the company. They were divided into comprehensive group, civil engineering group 1, civil engineering group 2 and equipment group to have in-depth exchanges of views and discussions with relevant departments before they drew their review conclusions. The expert team believed that the submitted documents of the preliminary design (intermediate) were comprehensive. The proposed line route and the stations distribution arrangements were based on the feasibility study report and overall design, which fit Qingdao’s urban comprehensive planning, urban railway transportation network planning and the requirements of the railway transportation construction plan. Its function and orientation were clearly identified. Its main design principles and technical standards are in compliance with the urban railway transportation project construction standard and requirements of the Code for Metro Design. The metro’s line route, line laying method, stations distribution arrangements are coordinated with land-using planning; the arrangements for the transferring stations are reasonable, so are the function, scale and structure of the stations. The technical standard and configuration of the vehicle and electromechanical equipment system meet the operation function requirements. The documents have clearly responded to the suggestions raised by experts during past reviews, which were put them into practice and reached the depth requirements for developing the preliminary design documents.
