The Second Health Cup Three-people Basketball Game Passionately Kicked Off

The blue sky and water are reflected mutually and it is in the most beautiful season of autumn in Beijing when the company’s second Heath Cup three people basketball game was held successfully in the gymnasium in the University of Science and Technology Beijing.

To enrich employee’s spare time life and to enhance the relations among all departments within the group, also to improve our staff’s health and to form a favorable physical exercise atmosphere, the company’s second Heath Cup three people basketball game kicked off at the gymnasium in the University of Science and Technology Beijing. Li Guoqing, the Company’s Party Secretary, Mi Jianzhou, Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Labor Union, all departments' Chairman of the Labor Union and leaders led their teams to participate in the game. Of course, there was the passionate cheerleader team. There’re over a hundred people took part in the game.

Li Guoqing, the company’s Party Secretary, made a passionate speech on the opening ceremony when he said that the moment he stepped into the court, he was encompassed by the youthful energy. The passion and energy fully displayed the active and youthful spirit of the young people in the company, and he’s really happy to attend the opening ceremony. He hopes that all the teams can compete with skill and style and fight for the greater goal of Working Healthily for Fifty Years. Mi Jianzhou, Chairman of the Labor Union, declared the game open. As the basketball being tossed up in the air by Li Guoqing, Secretary of the Party Committee, the game officially kicked off.

The game was organized by the company’s Labor Union, and held by the Rail Transit Institute and the Labor Union of the Headquarter. All units eagerly signed up for the game, there were 16 teams from 10 units joining the game, including Rail Transit Institute, Survey Institute, Department of General Engineering Contract, Architecture Institute, Municipal Administration, Urban Development Institute, Overseas Development Institute, Company Headquarter, Huan An and AGILTECH. The game was divided into two parts, the morning group round robin and the afternoon playoff. After the thorough pre-match preparation, professional referees were invited to judge the game, individual scorekeeper and timekeeper were assigned to four separate game courts to ensure the fairness of the game. All teams dispatched their elite players to the game. Based on last year’s team, they had further strengthened their teams by expanding the team and looking for players with potential. They formed 16 teams with over 80 players in total. The vigor and high morale they displayed on the basketball courts have fully demonstrated the spirit of fighting and advancing with unity and wisdom. The 16 teams were divided into 4 groups, A, B, C and D, for the group round robin, after fierce competition, the Final 8 emerged, they were Rail Transit Institute Team No.1 and Rail Transit Institute Team No.2, Municipal Administration Team No.1, Municipal Administration Team No.2, Urban Development Institute Team No.1, Architecture Institute Team No.1, Huan An Team and Survey Institute Team No.1. After a whole day of intense competition, the Rail Transit Institute team won the championship, the representative team of the Survey Institute won the second place and the Huan An Team the third.

All the players fought hard on the courts, their perspiration came down like raindrops, and on the side, all the cheerleaders cheered restlessly for their teams and their voices lingered on in the stadium, all the staff did their work responsibly and meticulously, all their hard work ensured the successful closing of the game in the most beautiful season of the year. Hope this kind of recreational and sports activities can relieve the work pressure and build a healthier body so as to inject even more livelihood into our lives.
